This is just evidence beyond belief. Bravo for the crack FNC staff getting the background on funding, current staff and other employees of NPR saying WORSE things than did Juan. If Juan Williams must be fired for expressing his “opinion” on TV, then certainly we can ask the same of Ms. Nina Totenberg and her other brethren at the liberal, hypocritical NPR.
Now…I’m waiting for the Dems to join the Repubs in denouncing NPR for this blatant hypocrisy. Wait, what’s that I hear???
Last night, Shepard Smith started a series called the “Rise of Freedom,” set to chronicle the building and construction of the new towers, the Memorial, and surrounding sites.
If everything gets built like was shown tonight, it will be a beautiful site (and a stab in the eye of all the Islamofascists in the world). I’m just sad that it’s taken so long to rebuild there. However, knowing that this first site is already seven stories down, it gives me some relief with the pace. I hadn’t realized so much work was being done underground. And apparently the new structures appear they’ll be super-duper strength and reinforced to the hilt. I hope all of these structures are able to be completed by the 10-anniversary, as discussed in this segment. It would be a phenomal accomplishment, considering the current pace.
God bless all these construction workers and everyone involved in this labor of love.
This is just beyond the realm of insanity. Recently, an 80-year-old Chicago resident, who is a Korean War veteran, shot back at a home intruder. The robber missed, but the homeowner did not, and apparently Mayor Daley is still not saying whether or not the homeowner will face charges for killing the intruder.
Daley seems to be the one whose understanding is a bit foggy. Perhaps he was confused about the question, but when asked “with what can 80-year-old man who walks with a cane best protect himself and his family from a young, fit, armed home invader (and career criminal), who has already illustrated his ruthlessness by firing twice?” a gun most certainly is the answer.
No wonder the idiots who moved to Washington D.C. have contaminated an already filthy, toxic gene pool there with all the slime from the Chicago political machine.
This is CLASSIC Krauthammer. Last week on the Special Report panel, they discussed a recent very odd rambling statement by the White House Counterterrorism Advisor, John Brennan.
During a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, John Brennan described violent extremists as victims of “political, economic and social forces,” but said that those plotting attacks on the United States should not be described in “religious terms.”
He repeated the administration argument that the enemy is not “terrorism,” because terrorism is a “tactic,” and not terror, because terror is a “state of mind” — though Brennan’s title, deputy national security adviser for counterterrorism and homeland security, includes the word “terrorism” in it. But then Brennan said that the word “jihad” should not be applied either.
“Nor do we describe our enemy as ‘jihadists’ or ‘Islamists’ because jihad is a holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam, meaning to purify oneself or one’s community, and there is nothing holy or legitimate or Islamic about murdering innocent men, women and children,” Brennan said.
The technical, broadest definition of jihad is a “struggle” in the name of Islam and the term does not connote “holy war” for all Muslims. However, jihad frequently connotes images of military combat or warfare, and some of the world’s most wanted terrorists including Usama bin Laden commonly use the word to call for war against the West.
Like Krauthammer, I have no clue whose side this man is on. And why is he advising the President on terrorism if he won’t even call “it” what “it” is? No wonder the world is laughing at us right now. What a stooge.
On a special edition of Special Report, the subject was today’s vote on the healthcare reform bill, a.k.a. “Obamacare.” Steve Hayes of the Weekly Standard gave a breakdown of past entitlement programs including Medicare and Social Security, what promises were made about them, and how they wound up affecting America in reality, fiscally speaking. Steve gives a somber yet believable analysis about this newest entitlement: it will bankrupt this country.
This is going to make the federal debt clock, as Steve says, go into double-time. This new entitlement is an outrage. As if we don’t have enough unfunded liabilities as it is?
