On O’Reilly last Friday, Laura Ingraham filled in for Bill and discussed with guest, Diane Francis, the idea of a global one-child policy to help combat global warming. I’d read the story about Francis, who wrote a piece in a Canadian newspaper last week, and I could not believe what I was reading. Yet, here she was on television defending her policy for population control.
From Canada’s Financial Post:
“A planetary law, such as China’s one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate currently, which is one million births every four days.
The world’s other species, vegetation, resources, oceans, arable land, water supplies and atmosphere are being destroyed and pushed out of existence as a result of humanity’s soaring reproduction rate.”
So like Laura, I’m stunned that people like this are honestly trying to be taken seriously lately, advocating for plants and animals over people. Don’t forget that animals emit a large percentage of CO2 merely in their farts alone.
Do people like Francis and others of her ilk not understand that it’s predominantly Muslim countries that are experiencing the population growth? The average Western family has far fewer children on average compared to those in Muslim countries.
