God love ‘em, those Okies, for doing what they should. As a fellow Okie, I am proud of these oil producers and drillers gathering in Cushing, OK (Payne County) to protest the president’s visit. They know how he feels about them, and say what you will about Democrat support….Oklahoma’s Democrats are some of the most conservative in the nation. It’s because they use common sense. From KFOR-TV:
My family is in that area, and there are currently five tornadoes in the Oklahoma City metro area. My mama is stuck in traffic, and I talked to my brother by cell phone, but the rest of my family I cannot reach. All the phones are dead. These tornadoes are in Piedmont, Moore, Norman, Oklahoma City, Del City, Midwest City and other areas. I have family IN ALL of those cities! Please pray for everyone in this storm’s path.
GOOD NEWS! If any of you have been watching or listening to any of the major talk shows lately, certainly you’ve heard of Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser. He’s the president and founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD), and in light of the recent Oklahoma law, the organization has issued a press release lauding the passage of the law. Here’s a portion of the press release:
“As Muslims dedicated to modernity, reform and our one law system in the west and in the United States, AIFD applauds the people of Oklahoma for passing State Question 755 and making “the legal precepts of other nations or cultures” off-limits to Oklahoma courts and specifically denying the use of Sharia Law.
The issue is simple. As Americans we believe in the Constitution, the Establishment Clause, and our one law system. SQ755 reaffirms the First amendment to the Constitution and prevents the Establishment or empowerment of a foreign legal system like the specific shariah legal systems implemented in many Muslim majority nations and in western shariah courts seen in places like Britain.
Tonight was one of the funniest Miller Time segments on O’Reilly that I’ve seen in a long time. Apparently Dennis’ brother is a publicist or something for Borat, and O’Reilly was asking for the skinny on the MTV prank. Was it real or staged? Either way, you have to admit this MT made you laugh. I laughed until I cried. O’Reilly also asked Miller’s opinion on the Gitmo Uighurs getting laptops to learn how to use the internet. Uighurs? Wiggles? Teletubbies?
I also think O’Reilly genuinely laughed for the first time ever. This was hilarious.
The last subject was that of an Oklahoma pharmacist who’d been robbed at gunpoint, and he killed one of the perps, and killed him REALLY well! He was charged with 1st Degree Murder, and I have to agree with O’Reilly on this one. The over-charging of this pharmacist is over-kill (no pun intended), and there is no Oklahoma jury who will find this man guilty.
