Okay now, this is rich! Team Obama, according to The Hill, is confident that Biden will be able to take on Paul Ryan in their debates. According to the piece:
…Obama’s campaign is brimming with confidence about the match-up between Biden and Ryan, arguing that the real game-changer is on their side.
In speeches Monday and Tuesday in the swing states of North Carolina and Virginia, Biden cranked up the rhetoric, highlighting the Obama campaign’s belief that it has the momentum in the race — not Romney and Ryan.
Senior aides close to Biden insist the vice president can attack Ryan and Romney with force and his characteristic folksiness, all while charming a crowd with humor and self-effacement.
“He’s real confident talking about Ryan because he knows him. It’s an easy thing for him to do,” said one senior adviser to Biden. “He can criticize Ryan without being personal about it.”
Watch and enjoy, watch and enjoyers! Greta’s got the scoop here:
DECORAH, Iowa – President Obama got into a heated back and forth with a Tea Party activist who demanded to know at the end of a town hall meeting here whether or not Vice President Biden had called members of the Tea Party “terrorists” during the debt ceiling debate.
In public, Obama did not directly answer the question from Tea Party activist Ryan Rhodes about Biden. But Obama fired back that he knows better than anyone what it’s like to be slammed for his political views and was not about to accept a lecture on the topic.
“As someone who’s been called a socialist, not born here, taking away freedoms for providing health care, I’m all for lowering the rhetoric,” Obama said.
Obama did say he would discuss the matter further with Rhodes, founder of the Iowa Tea Party, after the event. And the duo was spotted in an animated conversation a few moments later.
In an interview later with Fox News, Rhodes claimed that the President insisted that Biden had not made the original comment.
A lot has been said about this book already, and much publicized so far, so I’m going to let this video speak mostly for itself. Tonight on Hannity’s show, “Game Change” authors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann were on to discuss some of the more juicy details of the book.
Lou Dobbs & Dan Lothian spoke after the Crowley speech, and Dobbs praised Sgt. Crowley, saying whatever was accomplished today, Sgt. Crowley proved himself to be a “first-class professional police sergeant.” And what was Lothian’s response?
That Crowley was either well rehearsed from spending time in front of the cameras at the Cambridge “crime scene,” or he had been coached prior to the presser.
Come on, Lothian. Are you really saying Sgt. Crowley isn’t educated? Your only two suppositions are either camera face-time experience or being coached? Can’t you just agree the man is well educated? After all, if you read his police report, you would KNOW this man is HIGHLY educated. It’s one of the most well-written police reports I’ve ever read.
Can’t even stand to give the guy one compliment. Wow. Shallow fellow you are.
