Last week as Judge Napolitano sat in for Glenn Beck, the Judge discussed the constitutionality of some parts of the healthcare reform bill that recently passed. Especially of note is the individual mandate that every American citizen, by the very nature of their existence, will now be required to purchase a good that must be approved by the federal government.
I, like the Judge, am not amused. We must all stand and fight this monstrosity.
Yeah, according to Al Sharpton, who appeared on Bill O’Reilly last night to talk about the alleged use of the N-word and spitting at the recent healthcare protests by the Tea Party and other opponents of this healthcare reform bill. As O’Reilly reminds the race pimp, Al Sharpton, you cannot paint an entire philosophy or group based on the alleged acts of a few loons. Here’s a partial transcript:
SHARPTON: Yes. But there is a difference in what Pitts is saying and in those that are talking about violence. I think what Pitts is saying and some of The New York Times writers are saying is that there is a racial component where people talk about take back our country. Who is our? You can’t deny…
O’REILLY: Well, our is them.
SHARPTON: Bill, you cannot deny there are some racial components in this.
O’REILLY: Hold it. Hold it.
SHARPTON: Does that make everybody a Tea Party racist? I don’t think…
O’REILLY: I am going to deny that. Here is what I’m going to deny. I’m going to deny that the Tea Party platform, the movement itself is based on race at all. It isn’t. What happens is, in any organization, including your own, you have nuts. You have loons. People who take it way too far who may be racist themselves. You cannot demonize any organization by the actions of a few in a demonstration. That’s insane.
They keep referring to Pitts, author Leonard Pitts, who penned an op-ed in The Miami Herald over the weekend saying any opposition of the healthcare reform was based solely in racism. So now we find out from Sharpton that saying “OUR country” is the new racist term.
If someone used the N-word directed at a black Congressman during the protest, why didn’t Jesse Jackson, Jr. capture it on one of his two flipcams?
In addition to Jackson, there’s another bystander in the red t-shirt who is AWFULLY close to the group marching. So why haven’t we seen HIS tape? Just askin’.
Today on Beck’s show, he talked about the true numbers of Americans who were “slapped” around by this Congress that forced the Obamacare bill down our throats. And like Glenn, I’m sick of the way the left, and their MSM allies, continually try to use “RAAAACIST” and “HAAAAATE SPEECH!” against anyone opposed to Obamacare. Frankly, it’s becoming like the boy who cried wolf; it’s not working much anymore. Nearly 41% of Democrats (and 66% of Independents) are in favor of the GOP continuing in its efforts to undo this abomination of a healthcare reform bill.
He also discussed the recent spate of acts of violence and “hate” speech, threats, and other miscellaneous incidents that have occurred or allegedly occurred since Obamacare passed this past weekend. In addition, Beck asks the media, hypothetically, why they don’t report on the past incidents of death threats against President Bush; the effigies of him that were hung and burned in protest; the movie that was made about his assassination; the death threats made about him, along with copious other examples of victimhood hypocrisy of the left.
I am at an utter loss for words on this one, however, I will try.
Elisabeth agrees with Joy, who believes that it’s only Republicans committing these alleged “hate crimes” and threats of violence since Obamacare passed. Then it goes to a new level – Joy positing that Sarah Palin‘s “SarahPAC” campaign constitutes instructions for folks to go out and literally shoot Democrats merely by the fact that the map of those seats to go after is marked by “cross-hairs” in the states where these Democrats will run. Joy even said the map looked like an “Al Qaeda Christmas Card” and that is was “unpatriotic.” Elisabeth agrees with her on this? Wow.
Then Whoopi goes even one step further by equating opponents of Obamacare to the 19 hijackers on 9/11. Really Whoopi? She says it’s because people who perpetrate the violence are just following the folks who instruct them to commit those acts of violence…like the talking heads on the radio; and like the ones in caves in Afghanistan who instructed those 19 jihadists to fly planes into the WTC. Wow. Just wow.
Then Whoopi (& Sherri) give a stern warning to the “talking heads” on the radio that if bloodshed occurs, it will be on their heads. The blood will be on their hands, and they will be the ones at fault.
I sat in stunned disbelief watching this segment, but I find it instructive to show others the shallow ignorance of the left.
After the late-breaking news today of VA Rep. Cantor’s campaign office being shot at today, along with voice mail death threats, I’m waiting to see if Whoopi and the crew bring that up tomorrow. I won’t hold my breath on that. The hypocrisy abounds.
NOTE: As an aside, this segment followed one about American Idol, in which Sherri Shepherd sees racism in the show. She notes there are fewer blacks on the show than in previous seasons, so obviously either the judges were racists in picking the finalists, and/or the audience who is VOTING on the contestants are racists. After all, the only black girl on the show was voted off last night, so CLEARLY it’s racism. Riiiiiigghhht. Either suggestion is juvenile. I was completely unaware that Affirmative Action laws apply to reality shows. The truth is, that girl was HORRIBLE on Tuesday’s show! She deserved to go – not because she was black, but because she was awful.
