Anybody else but me thinking that Jon Stewart is a little bit pissed about FNC’s popularity? And the “misinformed” part is a myth. Here’s a study of how informed overall Republicans are vs. Democrats.
No need to get all pissy, Jon…your disinformation won’t work to folks paying attention. BTW, Chris Wallace really stood his ground.
Radio talk show host Nancy Skinner sparked an entertaining–and at times somewhat bizarre–discussion on Fox News Thursday afternoon, as host Martha MacCallum attempted to lead a discussion of Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign announcement. Skinner, who has a show on Detroit radio and has served as a political commentator for Fox, MSNBC and CNN, quickly shifted from Romney to Bush. She suggested that Romney’s speech was about “laying out the case of how badly President Bush screwed up our economy” before beginning a disjointed defense of President Obama that led to an argument over poll results.
I think I know what the problem is, but just wow. Nancy needs help or sleep or both.
Or, in words I would use, ….”CNN! You LIE!” Douchebag CNN reporter Nic Robertson tried to say FNC reporter Steve Harrigan was a wuss and didn’t go to Qaddafi’s compound, sending a meat shield rookie cameraman in his place, but this is NOT true. Jennifer Griffin came on to Greta’s show tonight to clarify what really happened. The truth? Harrigan wasn’t fool enough to get caught up in that “shield” trap set by Qaddafi, and CNN is trying to make themselves look good in an otherwise facepalm-worthy eff-up by following their government minders, wandering into the Qaddafi compound to divert the attention from the French and British warplanes.
Here’s Jennifer explaining the situation to Greta:
This is after an earlier report by Nic Robertson of CNN, according to his account, reported on Mediaite:
“Robertson described Fox’s correspondent in Libya, Steve Harrigan, as someone he’s known for many years, but then slams him, saying Harrigan is a correspondent “who very rarely leaves his hotel.” Robertson said he went on the short trip Sunday because “we’re news professionals and we want to see it for ourselves.”
Hey, you CNN third-rate reporter…you’re the pu$$y…SUCK IT! Steve Harrigan has more balls than you’ll ever have. The only way you can stay relevant in your own mind is to trash him and Fox News. STFU!
As many of you know, Greg Palkot and Olaf Wiig were attacked, brutally beaten, hospitalized, blindfolded, and generally terrorized while covering the protests in Cairo, Egypt. Here in the first interview after their ordeal, you can see the visible injuries and wounds both suffered at the hands of the goons in the crowds.
I pray for them to both have a speedy recovery. And for Olaf, this isn’t his first close-call overseas reporting events around the world.
The perils for reporters and their crews overseas are omnipresent, but they valiantly carry on, bringing the news of the world to our TVs and computers. They are real troopers for this mostly thankless job.
I love it every year when they do this segment, where they let all the production cast and crews from the various shows and bureaus send out their warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
I love the last part with Bret’s kids. What a cute couple and family they are! So precocious and precious.
