Left Continues to Push Back Violently at Opposition Protests (VIDEO)

h/t BigGovernment:

The violent left has attacked conservative activists protesting big government, big spending and big bailout scheme proposed by Congress. Tea Party activists in Tampa and St. Louis were beaten by left wing activists earlier this year. Add Greensboro to that list. This week, a group of local citizens in North Carolina protesting the Financial Reform bill and the Durbin BP Bailout amendment were accosted and then physically attacked by a left-wing activist who blamed George Bush for America’s ills. Here is the video:

Like a bad cold it can’t shake, the left continues to attempt to blame every ill on George W. Bush. But as one activists in the video pointed out, its actually one Barack Obama and Senator Dick Durbin who are about to hand a massive check to the very company responsible for one of the worst environmental disasters in history.

The Durbin Amendment to the financial reform bill is the latest government policy proposal that will pad BP’s bottom line. The amendment would create a government imposed price control scheme that would shift billions of dollars away from consumer to retailers (British Petroleum, Exxon, WalMart). That’s why the Durbin Amendment is supported by the big retailers like Walmart, Petroleum Marketers Association and other prominent lobbyist groups which are funded, in part, by British Petroleum.

Beck & Andrew Klavan On Healthcare Townhall Meetings (VIDEO)

Yesterday, Glenn Beck & prolific writer, Adrew Klavan, discussed the latest rash of angry citizens confronting their representatives at Townhall Meetings. They also discussed Sen. Dick Durbin hoping that his fellow congressional members would not be “sucker-punched” by the rowdy mobs who are allegedly out to disrupt and STOP debate on the Obamacare plan.

‘Angry mobs’ are only identified as such by those who fear the resistance. Durbin should be afraid, as well as many of the alleged Blue Dog democrats who support the healthcare plan in its current form. Nothing good will come of it, and as more Americans realize that it’s a real possibility that their current health care will change for the worse, the polls rise exponentionally to meet that fear. You see, you generally ask someone about how they rate something they have as a given, they may give a “C” grade or whatever; however, when you ask the person that their CURRENT option will be disappearing, Americans inevitably realize they got it good! It’s as old as history itself, but it shows how jaded we can be until we are threatened.

Newt Gingrich Vs. Dick Durbin on Meet The Press (VIDEOS)

Today on Meet the Press, Gingrich and Durbin debated about the Gitmo conundrum and what to do about the terrorist detainees. Here’s a portion of the transcript:

FMR. REP. NEWT GINGRCH, (R-GA): Well, let, let me start with, first of all, it was Secretary of State Colin Powell who also talked about weapons of mass destruction, so this is not a Cheney problem. The fact is every member of the American government senior leadership believed in the intelligence they were getting at the time. And the question comes right down to, as Vice President Cheney said this week, what’s your highest priority? Is it to defend America and protect American lives, or is it to find some way to defend terrorists and to get terrorists involved in the criminal justice system? I can’t imagine–given the fact, for example, that we just picked up four terrorists in New York who had been converted in prison, I can’t imagine–the director of the FBI has said don’t put these terrorists in prisons because there’ll be an active threat to convert other people. The fact is these, these terrorists–we’re now down to the worst of the worst. These are the–the Bush administration released over 500 people. One out of every seven actually went back to war against us and is out actively trying to kill Americans today. So I would be very cautious. I think the president made a very big mistake. It was a campaign promise, it is not a national security plan. I think, frankly, they should keep Guantanamo open. Whatever the, whatever things that are wrong at Guantanamo they would fix by moving them to somewhere else, fix them at Guantanamo.
