From One ‘Small Person’ to All the Other ‘Small People’ in America: Get Over Yourselves!

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: Are You Kidding Me?, Just Plain Wrong, STFU2 Comments

I’ve had just about all I can stand of this feigned self-righteous indignation I’m reading and hearing about from all corners of America about BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg’s “small people” comment. Who in the hell do you all think you are? Have you ever heard the term “ugly American?” If not, all this whining, crying, and gnashing of teeth is precisely an example of where that term comes from.

And, no, I’m not giving BP a “free pass’ on anything, nor am I saying they have no price to pay for the ACCIDENT in the Gulf, but you guys have got to give this “small people” comment/non-issue a damn rest already.

In case you’ve been on Mars lately, here’s the allegedly offensive remark by BP chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg:

“I hear comments sometimes that large oil companies are greedy companies or don’t care, but that is not the case with BP. We care about the small people.”

From a piece in the Tampa Bay news, we have this lovely gem:

I’ve Figured It Out – Why Obama’s Reached His Epic Fail Moment

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: Energy Policy, ObamaLeave a comment

This is just a short observation after the televised speech from the Oval Office…it’s really nothing fancy. I now know why Obama has been so incompetent responding to this disaster. He’s already proclaimed in the past: “I cannot dive down and plug the hole myself;” “I can’t just go down there and suck it out with a straw;” “Plug the damn hole!;” I, I, I, me, me, me…

It’s really very easy. Do you see it in his recent quotes? Okay, if you didn’t here’s the deal:

Obama is so powerful himself that by God if HE can’t fix this problem, then nobody can, so why bother? He really thinks he’s the one that will make the oceans recede and the planet heal. And if he is unable to do so, it must be a moot point to seek help from others, right? Yeah, that’s what I thought, too.

Brent Bozell & Hannity on ‘This Week in Media Bias’ (VIDEO)

This was a great compilation for the Media Research Center. Subjects included the BP oil spill, Helen Thomas, winning female political candidates, PBS, radical “Christianity” according to Tavis Smiley, the Israeli flotilla incident, all things “Bush’s Fault,” Arianna Huffington, the dark overlords a.k.a. “Boooooosh-Cheney,” the Gore breakup, Sarah Palin, Islam, and more.

Bozell’s job is just too easy, ya know? LOL @ the MSM.

Helping Obama Know Whose Ass to Kick (CARTOON)

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: Cartoons, Don'tcha Just Love It?, Humor, ObamaLeave a comment

HAHA… this ‘toon was featured in the Patriot Update newsletter today, and I have to say I LOVE it!

Whose Ass To Kick?

This ‘toon is the work of brilliant editorialist, Mike Lester, of the Rome News-Tribune in Rome, GA. A hometown boy doing a helluva job.

Note: In looking at his latest cartoon, I found this other gem that is quite prescient. This ‘toon illustrates brilliantly a post I’m writing in my head for this weekend. Enjoy!

Boycott BP

I’ve added Lester to my faves alongside Michael Ramirez of Investor’s Business Daily.

Hannity & Palin Discuss GOP Women, Conservatism, the Tea Party, & BP (VIDEO)

Sarah appeared on Sean’s show to discuss all the hot topics of today. Partial transcript from the Fox News website:

HANNITY:Governor, I — all these women yesterday, many of whom you endorsed, were very successful. How do you interpret the results of yesterday?

PALIN: Yes, I heard you list some of them, including there, too, Susana Martinez in New Mexico, some of the gubernatorial candidates.

You know, these are just good patriots who are willing to put it all on the line and get our country and our states back on the right track economically and militarily. They just use common sense and they know the Constitution, they want to protect the Constitution. We’re lucky to have them as candidates.

It certainly doesn’t have anything to do with my endorsement, to tell you the truth. Because, truly, like John Wooden said, it doesn’t matter who is right, it matters what is right. And what is right is the message that they have to get our country back on the right track.

And Americans are craving that. We’re sick of the big government, Obama-touch on this country and we’re going to do something about it.
