Bill O’Reilly Spars with Bill Maher on HBO’s “Real Time” (VIDEO)
Last night, Bill O’Reilly was the one-on-one interview for Bill Maher’s HBO show “Real Time.” You have to give it to O’Reilly – he can play on any turf he’s on, and generally seems to get along with even the lefties, although they definitely have differences. Bill O seems to have a sort of air of respect that he both gives and gets, between jabs (listen for the “seals” comment – LOL).
This was actually very funny.
The rest of the show? Eh, not so much.

S.E. Cupp & Cory Booker Beat Maher in Religion Battle (VIDEO)

From a recent “Real Time” segment, this battle over religion commenced. Bill got the worst of it, both from self-avowed atheist S.E. Cupp, and Mayor of Newark, NJ, Cory Booker, who is himself a Christian.

Maher: [Religion] causes most wars: The Crusades, the inquisition, 9/11, honor Killings…”
Cupp: “No that’s factually not true.”
Booker: “Humans…humans cause war.”
Cupp: “Religion doesn’t kill people…people kill people.”
Booker: “We’ve been known to start wars over everything from natural resources to land, to religion—“
Cupp: “Colonialism, tribalism.”
Booker: “—we start wars.”
Maher: “The justification for most of that is religion.”
Cupp: “No it’s not.”
Maher: “Of course it is…What gets normal people to think it’s okay to kill other people is religion…very little else….”
Cupp: “Or colonialism, or land power grabs, or nativism…”
Maher: “Mostly religion. Ethnic cleansing, honor rape…”
Cupp: “Hitler, Pol Pot Mao, Stalin, not in the name of religion.“
Maher: “Were state religions. [Puzzled looks from panel] Of course they were.”

On “This Week,” George Will Owns Al Sharpton & Bill Maher (VIDEO)
ABC’s “This Week” Sunday panel included George Will, Matthew Dowd, Katrina Vanden Heuvel, Al Sharpton and Bill Maher. This part of the panel was discussing the new Arizona illegal immigration law, and George Will totally OWNS Sharpton on this one. He seriously looks like he has no clue what these clowns are talking about, and I think he made Sharpton flinch when he actually told him what the Federal Immigration statute says.
And Will does a pretty good job at owning Maher, as well, asking him which part of the Constitution does Arizona’s new law exactly violate. Maher sticks to his basic talking points about all Conservates are racists, then says ‘oh, no, that’s not what I really meant, just that all racists are Conservatives.’ Uh-huh. You just give me about 10 minutes of search time, Bill, and I’l find SEVERAL videos of you saying all Conservatives are racists (and that doesn’t even include what you said TODAY!).

Bill Maher on This Week: Brazil “Got Off Oil In The Last 30 Years” (VIDEO)
Huh? In between barbs AT President Obama for his previous calls for more off-shore drilling, Maher makes the ludicrous proclamation that Brazil “got off oil in the last 30 years” and thinks America should be able to to it if Brazil did. Cue, again, George Will to ask Maher just exactly when did Brazil get off oil? Ha! Maher seems to stammer, and incredulously requests a fact-check on that, but qualifies it by saying he believes they moved to sugar-cane ethanol in the 70s. Wow. I was as stunned as George Will looked.
Hey, Billy boy. I’ll fact-check for ya. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Brazil is STILL not only producing oil today, but also consuming it. But don’t let those pesky facts get in the way, Mr. Maher. Here’s the study on Brazil’s oil production and use:
