Pres. Obama Acting “Stupidly” Gives Non-Apology (VIDEO)

Today Obama made a surprise visit to the daily White House press briefing to discuss a phone conversation he had this afternoon with Sgt. Crowley of the Cambridge Police Dept. He said they had a good discussion, even made the comment that the Sgt. and Obama have a beer sometime in the future at the White House.

However, he did not apologize for saying the Cambridge PD was acting “stupidly,” and said he stuck by his original assessment, that ‘pulling Gates out of his home’ (which did not happen) was wrong. He said both parties (Sgt. Crowley & Prof. Gates) “over-reacted.”

How is it that Obama can apologize on behalf of America all over the world, but he cannot make a simple apology for playing the race card on national TV? PrezBO is the one who is “acting stupidly.”

And yes, we are supposed to believe this whole discussion occurred inside a 5-minute phone conversation. I call B.S. on that part, as well.

Obama Needs to Take a Stand on Israel – Now

Excellent piece in the New York Post today by Col. Ralph Peters about how Israel is fearful of the unknown that ‘is’ Obama. From the article (emphasis mine):

Obama’s an unknown quantity, though. While hysterical claims that he’ll be pro-Islamist from start to finish are absurd, even minor shifts away from supporting Israel’s struggle against terrorists could have catastrophic consequences. And Israel’s vaunted intelligence services can’t tell their superiors what Obama will do, since few (if any) of the president-elect’s supporters know what he intends to do.

In fact, the president-elect may not know himself. He’s a babe in the woods, and the woods are full of wolves. Fighting political rivals doesn’t prepare you for fighting terrorist fanatics.

For now, Israel must worry that a major ground offensive against Hamas would be halted halfway by the withdrawal of US support, both diplomatic and practical. The IDF even counts on us to replenish reserve stocks of the guided weapons that minimize civilian casual ties or penetrate tunnels and bunkers. Israel could find that it had paid a grim price in the blood of its sons and daughters, only to be robbed of the chance to hand Hamas a meaningful defeat.

As for our president-elect, his all-too-coy insistence that “we have only one president at a time” has been selective from the start. Glad to pontificate on stimulus packages and union benefits, Obama has used the one-president mantra to avoid taking stands on difficult issues that bedevil or bewilder him.

Our president-elect needed to make a clear, prompt statement in support of Israel. He didn’t. If I were an Israeli leader, I’d be worried, too.

Obama’s notorious for avoiding firm stands that might alienate any important constituency. But you can’t have it both ways in the Middle East. He needs to stand up in support of Israel. Now.

Israeli soldiers should not have to go into battle worrying about an American bullet in the back.

Where Is The Press About This?

Today I bought gas for $1.32 a gallon. Where is the press to praise President Bush for this?

Today I realized again that we haven’t been attacked on our homeland since September 11, 2001. Where is the press praise for President Bush about this?

Today someone sent me a link about the market history, and pointed out the all-time Dow Jones Industrial record high close on October 9, 2007 of 14164.53. I didn’t find any mainstream media accounts praising President Bush for that? Yet, I find multiple sources today blaming President Bush for the market’s crash and record lows. How does that square?

Today, violence in Iraq is the lowest it’s ever been, and by all accounts, the Iraq war has been won. Where is the media to praise President Bush for this?

I could go on and on and on with example after example, but for everything the left has blamed Bush for, they have failed to give him credit when the reverse results were true, regardless of the event. But then again, I guess that just goes to the known double-standard I’ve observed in the press. If it helps Bush, don’t print it – if it hurts Bush, it’s front page for months.

You idiot liberals have the “change” candidate you’ve wanted, and I surely hope you won’t be disappointed when the seas don’t really recede like he promised. Have fun! Those of us in reality land will be back here watching, perhaps partaking in a bit of schadenfreude when appropriate. I can’t enjoy too much of it, though, as I want no harm to come to my country.

My wish for the new year is a mainstream media that will shake free of its love affair and finally start reporting on the REAL Obama, who, despite most beliefs, is actually a mere mortal.

Sorry, but I hate this douchebag more than I can say. He makes me realize why the Atlanta Journal-Constipation is going down the crapper (well, he along with Cynthia Tucker, Editorial manager). This was in Sunday’s year-end “looking back at Luckovich” edition. Luckovich is the south’s version of Ted Rall.

Yeah, right. He’s only “repairing” it so he can either amend it to death or break it down totally. Just watch. This man has NO sense of the Constitution, in fact he even called it a “charter of negative liberties.” He has no regard for it himself. And his admiration in the liberal media, will only carry him on his lofty goals while Americans sleep-walk and dare to do nothing to stop him.
