Today on Beck, Sarah Carter of the Washington Times was on to discuss a tape the Times has of a terrorist recruiter, Abdullah al Nafisi, who calls for attacks on the U.S. via tunnels (at our southern border) that would make 9/11 look like a picnic. Al Nafisi also reportedly says there are 300,000 “white supremacists” in America that they would be willing to team up with.
On his first official day in the White House, President Barack Obama was on the horn to President Mahmoud Abbas.
“The spokesman for President Abbas revealed that Mr. Obama had told the Palestinian leader that their conversation was his first with a foreign statesman since taking office.†(TimesOnLine, Jan. 22, 2009).
Some thought that first call to the leader of the Palestinian authority was for spite. Others for statesman like reasons, still others for appeasement.
Given that a clip from Al-Jazeera televised Hamas-controlled Palestinians “burning up the phone bank from Gaza†to rally support for his presidential campaign, perhaps the telephone call was made out of gratitude.
Outrageous! A student in Dos Palos, California was forced to remove his American Flag t-shirt because it was in violation of the school’s policy because it does not allow “shirts/blouses that promote specific races, cultures, or ethnicities.” Are you freakin’ kidding me? From the article:
Officials at the Merced County school confirmed Thursday that Jake Shelly was forced to take off a red, white and blue tie-dyed American flag T-shirt on Tuesday. The shirt said nothing offensive, just: “United States of America, Washington, D.C.”
The school’s assistant principal issued Shelly a bright yellow T-shirt that read “DCV: Dress Code Violator” to wear for the rest of the day. He was given his shirt back after classes ended.
“It was really embarrassing and humiliating to have to wear that all day — and just for supporting your country,” his sister Kaycee Shelly said.
Kaycee Shelly told members of the media at lunchtime that her brother was overwhelmed and did not want to do any more interviews.
Earlier in the day, he was speaking with a local news station when an unidentified teacher walked up to him, ripped off the microphone clipped to his shirt and told him he was not allowed to talk to the media.
Buoyed by the 2006 election success of their Vietnam-era strategy, Democrat leaders and other leftists began openly calling Iraq an ‘unjust’ war, an “unwinnable” war and relying on the short memories of most Americans to hide the fact that many prominent Democrats had actually voted to authorize it. Jesse Macbeth, Jimmy Massey, Scott Beauchamp and other antiwar frauds who admitted faking tales of atrocities committed by US soldiers were praised by the press and the Democrats as heroic dissenters against the evil Bush war machine, their false tales of butchery and bloodlust spread far and wide. Widespread, positive coverage was given to antiwar, anti-American, pro-terrorist activists like Cindy Sheehan, who was sanctimoniously christened America’s “Peace Mom” by leading Democrats and the leftwing media, while true American heroes, patriots like Paul R. Smith and Jason L. Dunham, both Medal of Honor winners, both killed in the act of protecting America from her enemies, received virtual media silence for their heroism and sacrifice and little public acknowledgment from Democrat politicians.
