Obama Plans to Charge Wounded Vets for Treatment

This is just absolutely outrageous. I am even having a hard time wrapping my mind around this idea. Is he serious about this? There will be some literal hell to pay for this if it goes through.

WASHINGTON, March 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.

“It became apparent during our discussion today that the President intends to move forward with this unreasonable plan,” said Commander David K. Rehbein of The American Legion. “He says he is looking to generate $540-million by this method, but refused to hear arguments about the moral and government-avowed obligations that would be compromised by it.”

The Commander, clearly angered as he emerged from the session said, “This reimbursement plan would be inconsistent with the mandate ‘ to care for him who shall have borne the battle’ given that the United States government sent members of the armed forces into harm’s way, and not private insurance companies. I say again that The American Legion does not and will not support any plan that seeks to bill a veteran for treatment of a service connected disability at the very agency that was created to treat the unique need of America’s veterans!”

Are you freakin’ kidding me? Please someone wake me up and tell me this is a joke. Great job, you freakin’ douchebag. And I’m not talking about the Commander of the American Legion; I’m talking about PrezBO.

O’Reilly on Michael Yon Vs. Michael Moore (VIDEO)

Megyn Kelly was on O’Reilly tonight, and if you didn’t know about this subject matter before, you will know now. Michael Yon is going to sue Michael Moore for copyright infringement for stealing one of Yon’s photos to use as propaganda on his website. O’Reilly calls Moore out for the coward he is, and Megyn gives us a good idea of who Michael Yon is. If you have any doubts of your own, Michael’s website was voted Best Milblog for 2008, and his dispatches from Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, are must reads if you want to know what is really happening “over there.”

I encourage you all to go read his blog, and if you can, please contribute to his fund. He is a private citizen, war correspondent, who brings you news like nobody else can or will. Michael subsists on private donations alone, and once you read his dispatches and see his photo essays, you will realize the importance of his work – and the validity of your dollars should you so choose to help him out.

Michael Moore isn’t fit to wipe Yon’s rear end, and even if he tried, Yon has enough friends that… well, uh, never mind. Moore best just stay clear and have his puny lawyer give tired excuses for Moore’s inexcusable behavior and misappropriation of Yon’s precious photos – the one in question being this one. Steve Wilkos & USA Cares Help Veteran (VIDEO)

Today on a holiday edition of the Steve Wilkos Show, one of his guests was a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Timothy served first in Iraq then in Afghanistan, and hasn’t seen his kids in over two years. Kelli, the representative from USA Cares, came on the show to surprise Timothy and let him know how much she and her organization cared for him and his family, and at Steve’s insistence, reminded the studio and viewing audience how they can get involved with USA Cares to help members of the Armed Forces who need help with quality of life issues.

Steve is a great American hero, regardless of what you think of his work on Jerry Springer. He’s made a name for himself saving people and bringing families together with his own new show.
