Laura Bush is one classy lady. She and her daughters are still public treasures. God bless the Bush family. All three of them appeared on Oprah today to discuss the release of Laura’s Memoir “Spoken From the Heart” which is out today.
Like I said, this family is one class act. The whole Bush family is extremely gracious. Do you think the current FLOTUS tries to sneak out of the White House to go to Target? Do you think the current First Family pays for their own meals? I’ll leave that question open for you. Regardless of all that, I truly miss George W. Bush as President, and I miss Laura and their daughters.
Well, the interview was today – Sarah Palin on Oprah. Oprah wanted to talk first about the rumor of the “snub.” That is, there was a rumor that Oprah outwardly snubbed any idea of interviewing Palin during the campaign because of her allegiance to Obama, and Oprah wanted to know what Sarah felt about it.
Sarah was trying to be nice, admitting she really had only recently heard about the controvery of “the snub,” then either politely or slyly said “no offense to you, but it wasn’t the center of my universe.”
Yesterday in their first interview since the Jihadist attacks at Ft. Hood, Sgts. Kimberly Munley and Mark Todd appeared on Oprah to recount the details of the events on that fateful day (as well as dispel some incorrectly reported items in the media).
Big hugs and congrats for both Sgts. Todd & Munley; you are really true heroes and you saved American lives.
Today, Oprah highlighted a visit she paid to Walter Reed Army Hospital after she left D.C. visiting the White House this past week. Normally, I wouldn’t have thought this could be anything but an ideological and/or political message against the war, but Oprah pleasantly surprised me. And these guys and gals truly deserve the recognition.
It was too heartfelt to skip any of it, so here is the series of interviews from her show today, 26 February 2009, in 11 separate segments. I know it’s a lot, trust me. But please, watch each vignette, most of which are fairly short, because these men and women deserve this adulation and recognition.

Ooops! Apparently Hillary didn’t know about this. Apparently, Joe Biden had the choice to pick either Vice President or Secretary of State, and on Today’s Oprah, Jill let it slip out. Obviously she wasn’t supposed to, and according to the news reports, it’s causing a bit of consternation in the Hillary camp today. I guess Hillary didn’t know she was getting sloppy seconds.
I sure hope she can keep better secrets about what Joe will tell her in private times. This time we won’t have to worry about CIA leaks because they’ll be coming from the Biden household! Now we know why they have gotten along all these many years – neither one of them has self-control of what comes out of their mouths. Heh.
