Border Patrol Agent Diana Diaz, wife of fellow Border Patrol Agent, Jesus Diaz, talks to Megyn Kelly about the injustice being done to her husband after an arrest he made of a drug smuggler on the Mexican border. They also discuss the impact it has had on their family.
It seems some rookies were on the scene of the apprehension, and they thought Agent Diaz might have roughed up the perp a bit too much. So now, Agent Diaz is sitting in prison, in solitary confinment for two years. I will not say much more about this case, except to speculate that there might be some rookie agents who don’t make it out of their training phase. P.C., indeed. This is inexcusable and just follows along in the footsteps of Agents Ramos and Campeon, to name only a few.

Early Sunday morning in Houston, Texas, police officer Kevin Will was working a traffic stop on the side of the highway when a drunk driver struck and killed him. Officer Will leaves behind a pregnant wife and two children.
HPD Chief Charles McClelland says that Kevin Will also died a hero. Just seconds before he was struck and killed by Johoan Rodriguez’s car, Officer Will pushed another man out of the way. KTRH spoke to the Chief:
“The man heard the impact before he hit the ground,” says McClelland. “But he credits Officer Will with giving him the prior warning of yelling ‘Get out of the way!’ it actually saved his life.”
The tragedy of Officer Kevin Will’s death is compounded by the fact that his killer, Johoan Rodriguez is an illegal immigrant who had twice been deported, only to find his way back into the country. Will is also the sixth consecutive HPD officer to be shot or killed in the line of duty by an illegal immigrant.
Perhaps DNC head Debbie Wasserman Schultz needs to rethink her belief that “undocumented immigrants” are not criminals. The Florida congresswoman has stated that undocumented immigrants (like like the twice-deported Johaon Rodriguez), are “part of the backbone of our economy and not only a reality, but a necessity…” I‘m pretty certain that officer Will’s seven-month pregnant widow and his two children would disagree with Ms. Wasserman-Schultz.
Donations to help officer Will’s family are being accepted by the 100 Club (a Houston organization that provides support for the families of police and firefighters killed in the line of duty.)

ABC’s “This Week” Sunday panel included George Will, Matthew Dowd, Katrina Vanden Heuvel, Al Sharpton and Bill Maher. This part of the panel was discussing the new Arizona illegal immigration law, and George Will totally OWNS Sharpton on this one. He seriously looks like he has no clue what these clowns are talking about, and I think he made Sharpton flinch when he actually told him what the Federal Immigration statute says.
And Will does a pretty good job at owning Maher, as well, asking him which part of the Constitution does Arizona’s new law exactly violate. Maher sticks to his basic talking points about all Conservates are racists, then says ‘oh, no, that’s not what I really meant, just that all racists are Conservatives.’ Uh-huh. You just give me about 10 minutes of search time, Bill, and I’l find SEVERAL videos of you saying all Conservatives are racists (and that doesn’t even include what you said TODAY!).
Maher, I can give you several scenarios where cops would have reasonable suspicion to investigate someone’s citizenship status; one in particular would be if you have stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, and you have 15 people stuffed in the back of the minivan. First of all, the driver doesn’t have a license and can’t remember his date of birth. Secondly, he can give you no answers as to who his fellow “commuters” are. Thirdly, as is MOST of the time, the driver says “no hablo ingles.” Yes, this is the common response from many illegals, and they usually say this because they KNOW you can’t do anything about their immigration status because the federal agencies won’t help. That and they also sometimes falsely assume that you, as the police officer, do not speak Spanish. That is the most priceless look on their faces when you say back to them in Spanish “that’s okay, I speak Spanish.” They go from brown to very pale quickly because they know the gig is up (I just LOVE those moments).
I also can safely say Katrina Vanden Heuvel has never been to a Tea Party, as she mocks them saying they are only groups of 6 people “amassed” on a corner, yet we get all of the media attention. Yeah, riiiiight. She apparently believes there to be a media slight against the protestors of Wall Street and Rev. Sharpton’s protests. Yes, those protests are “mostly peaceful.” Uh-huh.
Oh, and would someone please inform the good Reverend that “Canadian” is not a race?
One final comment about this whole illegal immigration law: It REALLY pisses me off that those who shoot off at the mouth about this allegedly unconstitutional bill in Arizona seem to have already pre-supposed in their own minds that municipal, county and state peace officers are inherently racists, and that they will now begin ignoring all other crimes in Arizona. That’s complete and utter hogwash.
Speaking of hogwash, Sharpton needs to clean that wig of his.
Yesterday Beck hit it out with the park regarding the left’s lack of balance when reporting on the pro-illegal immigration rallies and the tea parties. We now have race pimp Al Sharpton involved, comparisons of the AZ law’s advocates to Nazis, Bill Clinton’s pseudo-defense of the WTO anarchists vs. his treatment of tea partiers, and the list just goes on and on.
I, like Glenn, wonder why so much fuss is being made about what’s going on in AZ when government officials in Illinois are asking for the National Guard to come help fight crime in Chicago. Which police state does the left prefer? Only the one that doesn’t sully their political points? Why is no one else talking about how bad the crime rate is in Chicago? Well, they don’t talk about Phoenix’s much either, but why is enforcing one more popular than the other? In both cases the majority of the offenders are minorities, so why is one more acceptable than the other? Why is one effort to enforce laws at the state level a RAAAAACCIST thing, yet the other is a TRUE “police state,” calling for military to perform local law enforcement duties?
Someone please explain this to me as I don’t understand the difference here.
Today’s topics include ACORN, countries rejecting the U.S. dollar, the United States “forgiving” $30M of Indonesian debt to us if they “protect their forests.” He also addresses the insane government program handing out free CFL light bulbs in New Jersey, and the Swiss’ invention of a “solar” airplane.
Folks, can we get some sanity here? There is so much that could be said on each of these subjects, but DAMN, my blood pressure medicine can’t take the strain this late at night! Somebody PLEASE call your representatives and tell them how crazy they are – and remind them that we can fire them if we want in 2010. AND SAY IT WITH SOME CONVICTION, damnit!
If we don’t speak out against this health-care bill, crap & fraud bill, the climate change act and other welfare expenditures, we will have no one else to blame but ourselves. And these programs would be like trying to squeeze toothpaste back into the tube – it won’t work.
STAY VIGILANT! DO NOT LET YOUR VOICE BE SILENCED!
P.S. How about we NOT forgive the Indonesian debt to the U.S. and use that money to pay our ARMED National Guard on the Mexican border? Sound like a bad idea to you? Not to me it doesn’t. And I KNOW I’m not alone in this.
