Beck on the “Me” Generation, Political Correctness, and Our Future (VIDEO)

I’ve purposefully captured the majority of this video from Beck’s show today because other liberal sites are already selectively pulling out the “generation of would-be killers” segment. I want you to see/hear Beck’s argument en toto so you know the context.

I agree with Beck that we’ve raised a generation of whiner cry-babies who think they have everything coming to them, without any question or merit. Should we choose to continue down this path, our future generations will be unable to provide for themselves or their children, much less their aging parents should that be an issue for them.

Exit question/request for Beck-haters: Can you please refute one piece of Glenn’s stance on this issue from today’s show? I, too, want a simpler explanation to a question that sadly I know all-to-clearly has no simple response. I was brought up in the age of consequences for my actions, and I never received awards nor accolades that I did not earn or deserve. That’s what’s wrong with this new generation growing up today; dare I say the “Obama voters” we know all too well.

I am in my own personal position because of decisions I made in my life, so why should the new generation of folks be expecting anything different? The time for blaming others is over. You have to take responsibility for your behaviors, while also accepting praise for your successes should that be the case. You succeed because of YOUR actions; not because of the actions of the community.

The sooner folks realize that we as individuals are solely responsible for our futures, the better off we will be as a nation. Otherwise, Americans will constantly look to the Nanny State government to bottle-feed them, send them to school, and wipe their asses.

Gen-Xers crying because they can’t get the salary they think they deserve on an entry-level job. Cry me a freakin river and get in line with the rest of the competitive market of job-seekers. Nobody owes you a job, and jobs don’t belong to you, so this crap about “our jobs are going overseas” is bull$hit. They’re not your jobs in the first place; they are jobs a company has to offer you in exchange for your talents.

Don’t have the talents for that job? Not a problem then. I’ll see you at McDonald’s next week….as I pick up my Big Mac combo meal – and you’ll like it or you’ll go on the public dole and join the other parasites. You’re not owed anything, and you won’t get any sympathy from me.

And yes, I would like fries with that.

Beck on How the White House is Using the NEA (& Your Tax $) for Propaganda (VIDEO)

Today, Glenn had artist Pat Courrielche on to discuss the recent NEA conference call with the White House, calling on all artists to use their media to promote all of Obama’s agenda items. Pat recorded the phone conference because he felt uncomfortable with what they were asking. I’m just going to let you watch the segment, and will display below Pat’s write-up about this whole affair below from this article:

“What does it mean when a government official evades the truth?

On August 25th, I published an article discussing a conference call hosted by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the White House Office of Public Engagement, and United We Serve that invited a group of art community luminaries “to help lay a new foundation for growth, focusing on core areas of the recovery agenda – health care, energy and environment, safety and security, education, community renewal.”

In the article I argued that it was not the role of the National Endowment for the Arts to use the arts to address specific issues, especially those of “health care” and “energy and environment” that are being vehemently debated nationally. I also clearly indicated that I was invited by the NEA and questioned their involvement in a meeting of this nature.

Two days later an article was published in the Washington Times that referenced my account of the conference call. Kerry Picket reported in the article that she “asked the NEA for a copy of the invitation to the conference call, but Communications Director for the NEA Yosi Sergant told us that they were not the ones who sent out the invitations for the conference call.” Picket continues, “Mr. Sergant directed us to the Corporation for National and Community Service as the body that sent out the invitations.”

Well, someone is playing loose with the facts. And let me say clearly here and now, it is not I. As can be clearly seen here, the invitation not only came from the National Endowment for the Arts, but from Sergant himself.”

This should truly frighten all of us. I URGE you all to go read Pat’s article here and check out his own invitation to the call, and what artwork has been produced as a result of this co-mingling of interests. Folks, the WHITE HOUSE itself was IN on the conference call! And Sargent says to be patient while they learn how to legally post government site on Facebook, and how to communicate on Twitter legally? Are they kidding us? What is happening????

Beck, Bellavia & Spalding Discuss Americorps & The Civilian National Security Force (VIDEO)

Continuing the discussion on the Civilian National Security Force Obama wants to build, guests former Army Staff Sgt. David Bellavia, author of “House to House” and an Iraq war vet, and Matt Spalding of the Heritage Foundation, were on to discuss and ponder the need of a civilian security force and just who they would be “fighting.” Bellavia has an interesting comparison (not equivalence) between a group loyal to the Iraqi State and not the country or the people, that Saddam’s Fedayeen were for his rule in Iraq. The parallels are striking, and only a military person who helped topple Saddam’s regime could understand it.

Why would Obama want a civilian force just as powerful and as well-funded as the U.S. Military to protect our “national security?” From enemies foreign or domestic? And who decides for this group (presumably AmeriCorps as the umbrella organization) who they’re going to fight to defend our national security?

More questions than answers, and we need more answers. STAND UP! Ask questions, and don’t give up until you get an answer.

As a final point of clarity, Glenn does get it wrong with AmeriCorps government funding of a $500B, but he does point out that he needs to check that and get the correct amount, as he does later in the show (not in this clip). It’s actually $5B, but before you say “wow, that’s a huge difference for Beck to screw up,” let me say two things:

1) Beck corrected himself; not because he was called on it, but because he wanted to be exact; and
2) Since when in hell did $5B become an inconsequential amount? Oh, yeah…ever since $1 trillion became so trivialized to the point we’re all numb to it.

$5B is a lot to a “community organizer” group, and I’d like to see justification for that expenditure of OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS!!!!

Beck on Obama’s ‘Civilian National Security Force’ – “Who Are We Fighting?” (VIDEO)

Today on Beck, he spotlighted Obama’s oft-repeated mantra about the need for a “civilian national security force,” one that is “just as powerful, just as strong, and just as well-funded” as our military force.

Beck asks a reasonable question of the president: “Who are we fighting?” What possible enemy would a civilian security force be formed to combat? Enemies who could cross the southern border? Nope, we tried that one already – the Minutemen – and they were roundly vilified as “racists” and attacked wherever they appeared to speak.

According to the Obama Administration itself, we are no longer at war with Islamic extremists, so why would we need to amass such a vast civilian security force? Honestly, why?

It is time for ALL lovers of freedom and the Constitution to do as Glenn suggests: 1) Question with boldness, 2) Hold to the truth whatever it may be, and 3) Speak without fear.

What do we have to lose if we ask questions, except for potentially our very freedom TO ask questions?

I don’t give a damn if you hate Glenn or Fox News at all. It would behoove you to watch and listen, even if it is only to challenge GLENN’S motives to pose his questions for all to answer. Consider it a 17-minute investment of your time. If you don’t feel like anything’s amiss with what’s happening, then go along your merry way and whistle while you work. If you do listen intently and understand the specificity of Glenn’s questions, then you just might feel inclined to ask them yourself – ask them of your elected officials wherever you live.

I’ve met many people in discussions of politics who tell me “oh, I don’t get into politics.” I remind them that whether or not they like it, they may not get into politics now, but sooner or later, politics will get into them by way of force. If they refuse to accept it, those will be the fools who wake up one day and ask “what the hell happened to America????”

These folks will have only themselves to blame. Wake up, stand up, speak out, and refuse to sit down and be quiet. Our freedoms are too precious to simply brush aside because you don’t want to “get involved.”

What’s that old axiom?…’if you don’t vote, you get the government you deserve’ – and you have no justification to complain when things go horribly awry.

It’s your country, your government, and your freedoms at stake, people. Are they worth fighting for? That’s my bold question for you.

Beck & Seton Motley on Van Jones & Frank Lloyd (VIDEO)

Glenn Beck and Seton Motley of the Media Research Center discussed the current attempts to stifle free speech, outside of the Fairness Doctrine, compliments of Mark Lloyd, the new FCC Diversity Officer. “Freedom of speech is a distraction?” Are they kidding us? However, that’s not the worst. People, if there is one quote from this video that resonates with you, it should be the one that came from Van Jones’ own mouth: “I am a community organizer in the Federal family.”

I don’t think more words are even necessary to express the chill I feel over that proclamation.

Beck & Napolitano on the White House Snitch Program (VIDEO)

Last week, Beck had Judge Andrew Napolitano on his show to discuss the legality and legal precedence behind Linda Douglass’ “snitch” program, encouraging Obama supporters to forward “fishy” emails about Obama’s healthcare program to flag@WhiteHouse.gov.

What did I do as a conservative? I sent them a copy of HR 3200 to their address. If it’s disinformation they want, then it’s disinformation they’ll get – like that which is contained within HR 3200 (maybe they’ll read it if they get plenty of copies of it?).
