Suspected SC Cop Killer Makes His First Court Appearance (VIDEO)

Accused cop killer, Joshua Tremaine Jones, was charged with the murder of a South Carolina Master Cpl. Sandra Rogers, and made his first court appearance on January 30th. Details from The State newspaper:

The man accused of fatally shooting a South Carolina police officer was released from a mental facility last fall after shooting himself in the head, the man’s father told a judge during his son’s first court appearance on Monday.

During that hearing, a magistrate judge ordered that Joshua Tremaine Jones, 26, remain jailed on a murder charge. Jones’ bond was set at $10,000 on a weapons charge, and his next hearing was scheduled for March 9. Under state law, jailed suspects must go before a circuit court judge for bond to be set on murder charges.

Jones has been held at the Aiken County jail since Saturday, when he was arrested at his Batesburg home. Authorities say Jones shot Master Cpl. Sandra Rogers earlier that day when she responded to a report of suspicious activity. The 28-year veteran of the Aiken Department of Public Safety died Saturday at a hospital.

Before shooting Rogers, police say Jones killed his girlfriend, 21-year-old Cayce Vice, in her Augusta, Ga., apartment.

If ever there was such a thing as a “face of evil,” this is surely in that category. God speed Cpl. Rogers. You and your family, both immediate and extended, are in everyone’s prayers.

Law enforcement officers from all over the country attended Rogers’ funeral, paying their last respects.

This week, Congressman Darrell Issa had hearings on the ATF’s “Fast and Furious” program, which allegedly lead to the deaths of two of our Border Patrol Agents at the hands of a gun alllowed to go freely into cartel hands. Who thought this was a brilliant idea?

As is often said of something like this…..”hey, what could go wrong?” I hope Holder goes down for this one. This is worse than bad… it’s abominable!

Yet Another Police Officer Killed by a Criminal Illegal Alien (VIDEO)

Early Sunday morning in Houston, Texas, police officer Kevin Will was working a traffic stop on the side of the highway when a drunk driver struck and killed him. Officer Will leaves behind a pregnant wife and two children.

HPD Chief Charles McClelland says that Kevin Will also died a hero. Just seconds before he was struck and killed by Johoan Rodriguez’s car, Officer Will pushed another man out of the way. KTRH spoke to the Chief:

“The man heard the impact before he hit the ground,” says McClelland. “But he credits Officer Will with giving him the prior warning of yelling ‘Get out of the way!’ it actually saved his life.”

The tragedy of Officer Kevin Will’s death is compounded by the fact that his killer, Johoan Rodriguez is an illegal immigrant who had twice been deported, only to find his way back into the country. Will is also the sixth consecutive HPD officer to be shot or killed in the line of duty by an illegal immigrant.

Perhaps DNC head Debbie Wasserman Schultz needs to rethink her belief that “undocumented immigrants” are not criminals. The Florida congresswoman has stated that undocumented immigrants (like like the twice-deported Johaon Rodriguez), are “part of the backbone of our economy and not only a reality, but a necessity…” I‘m pretty certain that officer Will’s seven-month pregnant widow and his two children would disagree with Ms. Wasserman-Schultz.

Donations to help officer Will’s family are being accepted by the 100 Club (a Houston organization that provides support for the families of police and firefighters killed in the line of duty.)

When will this insanity stop? What part of “illegal” don’t you fools understand? CLOSE. THE. BORDER. NOW. !!!!!

After Hosting Controversial Rapper at White House, Obama Then Outdoes Himself – He Skips ‘National Police Week’ in D.C.

One side of me thinks I should be stunned, but then the other side smacks me, shouts “WAKE UP” and reminds me of just who Obama is – a person who is ambivalent about this nation’s exceptionalism, the greatness of her warriors, and the honor, intelligence and patriotism of her citizens.

President Obama skipped the events of National Police Week in D.C. this week, instead hosting a controversial rapper at the White House who has praised a convicted cop killer.

On Wednesday, the White House hosted a poetry night with a performance from Common, author of the work, “A song for Assata,” in dedication to Black Panther Assata Shakur, who was convicted for the 1973 slaying of New Jersey Trooper Werner Foerster.

Earlier in the week, Fraternal Order of Police National President Chuck Canterbury sent a letter expressing his “profound disappointment” with the invitation and followed it up with a phone call reminding Mr. Obama’s staff that National Police Week is “a time to honor law-enforcement officers for their service and sacrifice.”

Obama did not attend the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund’s candlelight vigil Friday evening. He also skipped the Peace Officer’s Memorial Service on Sunday on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol. President George W. Bush attended the Peace Officer’s Memorial every year except one.

When will Americans, especially the left, stop apologizing for this embarassment to this great nation? As a former law enforcement officer myself, this is one bridge too far for me.

As a side note, I got into a discussion at work with a good friend of mine who is a black conservative, and he was trying to downplay Commons’ lyrics about the support of cop-killers citing many of the positive things he’s done for the black community. I told him that as someone who knows what it’s like to lose a dear friend to a cop-killer, I don’t give a damn if he walked the streets of Calcutta with Mother Teresa feeding the poor, his support for folks like Mumia abu Jamal and this Assata Shakur say everything about this man I need to know. He’s a low-life loser who deserves no respect from me, much less any recognization as a “poet” by the most powerful family in the world, in the PEOLES’ House in America!
