US Soldier Calls Out Mahdi Sympathizers in Iraqi Police (VIDEO)

h/t Ace of Spades for this brilliance!

Okay, you’ve got your one language warning, and that’s it. This is freaking BRILLIANT! You see, one thing that a lot of folks don’t talk about is we are also teaching the Iraqi Police about duty, honor and loyalty, as well as policing skills. From Ace’s place: (click on the image to watch)

You thought Christian Bale could toss the f-bomb with aplomb and threaten to kick someone’s ass?

The 2008 Weblog Awards

That was just a cameraman. This cat threatens to kick Mahdi army’s asses personally. He uses the Paul Anka style of leadership to awesome effect.

A lot of f-bomb here, but worth it. Newsworthy, so you can get away with it, I think.

Ace, after this gem, I think I owe you my first born. ;-)

Iraqis Go To The Polls Again (VIDEO)

Why aren’t we seeing this on more TV stations? This is historic, and it shows that freeing Iraq was the right thing to do. And the most shameful part of all of this? Iraq will have a higher percentage in turnout to the polls than America has probably ever had. Americans are so dumb that we take our freedom for granted. The fact that having almost 50% of eligible voters turning out to vote in America is something to celebrate, is downright embarrassing. 100% of American voters should turn out every time we have the privilege of doing so. But we don’t. Sad. Just so very sad.

Obama has to then come in and take a crap on this historic day by basically chiding the Iraqis to start taking responsibility for themselves. Not “this is a great day,” or “I’m very proud of the Iraqis,” “I’m pleased at the progress.” Just “get on with it.”

Is Obama proud of America at all, and what we’ve accomplished throughout history? You’d never know it.

Check out the post over at LGF. LGF points out “There isn’t a single word about these historic elections on the White House website.”

An Unrepentant Proud American

Happy Birthday to the greatest nation on this earth. After seeing the Capitol’s 4th Celebration on PBS, NASCAR on ESPN2, and watching fireworks off of my patio, I was so truly proud to be an American on this day. It also reminded me of a stunning exchange I recently had with a former co-worker of mine, which left me wondering “aren’t all other people proud of their own countries?”

My company is based in Germany, and my colleague Ingrid (I’ll call her), was in town here in Atlanta to do training for my department. Ingrid has been with the company since the mid 1990s, and she was an integral part of the IT team that conducted software implementations and rollouts to most of the other sites around the world when they would come online with our global platform. So she’s been around the world quite a bit. I really didn’t know Ingrid very well, as I had met her only a few times. However, on her last trip to Atlanta, I was in a week-long intensive training with her, and really got to spend some time talking to her.

One day in training, she came in and said the night before when she arrived back in her hotel, she tuned in to C-SPAN. That particular night, they were showing Congressional hearings about whether or not to begin impeachment proceedings on President Bush and V.P. Cheney. She said she was fascinated by it, and remarked that if he was half as guilty of things as they were saying he was, she thought they should be impeached.

This past week on the Mike and Juliet Show on Fox, they featured a segment on Operation Baghdad Pups, which is focused on bringing homeless dogs back from Iraq to the states and placing them in the homes of their military rescuers. This episode featured Liberty and K-Pot, whose US military families eagerly awaited their arrival and bringing them into their families.

A special thanks to the S.P.C.A. for all their work.

Iraqi Women Help Security Checkpoints (VIDEO)

Tonight on the Fox Report, Trace Gallagher highlighted a story you will most definitely NOT see in the mainstream media. We all know about the sensitivities of searching of females in Iraq. Iraqi Army, Iraqi Police, nor Coalition Force men are allowed to search women at checkpoints, so some local Iraqi women have stepped up to the plate.

As you can see, they’re already being effective, finding guns, money and getting information that no man of any nationality can in a Muslim country. Don’t ever count the women out – they can do very good things. I’m very proud of these Iraqi women, and so should you be. In the face of Islamic goons, these women are very brave.
