Tonight, Laura Ingraham sat in for Bill O’Reilly, and Liz Cheney of Keep America Safe was on to discuss Gitmo lawyers defending the detainees. Apparently they’re part of an ACLU group called the “John Adams Project,” which is in and of itself, ludicrous. What’s at play here is the fact some of these detainee Gitmo defense attorneyssupplied the detainees photos of CIA operatives, sketches and drawings of Gitmo and the prison layout, and paparazzi-like photos of CIA officers at various locations, including their homes.
I agree with Laura and Liz both that Eric Holder’s Dept. of Justice should be required to disclose the names of the lawyers who formerly worked for the defense of the detainees, yet now are working in the DOJ and will now be involved in the prosecution of these detainees, should they ever be brought to American soil. This cannot stand.
Today, Eric Bolling was sitting in for Glenn Beck, and he had on Ann Coulter & Andrew Breitbart to discuss the current war on terror situation, and all I can say is it was classic Coulter & Breitbart. No further commentary needed on my part.
This evening during the Special Report panel, fill-in host Chris Wallace got word via his producers that Fox News had confirmed Christmas bomber, Farouk Abdulmutallab has been being tracked by the CIA since this past August! WTF? Janet, this is how “The System Worked?” The system FAILED, or you weren’t listening at all.
Epic FAIL for Obama, too, considering his 2nd speech today on the matter indicates only now after “new” info is discovered does he now believe we were spared a “catastrophic breach” event. Excuse me? New info? How did you not know, Obummer, about Abdulmutallab if your CIA has been tracking him since last August? Again, EPIC FAIL. No worries, Barack…just go right back to your golf game.
Time to fire Janet Incompetano and NOW! As usual, Krauthammer delivers a fierce scorching, as do A.B. Stoddard and Fred Barnes. And after all this, believe it or not, the 7 o’clock hour news reveals that this “new” information will NOT alter the plans to close Gitmo.
Huh? Are you freakin’ kidding me? Sure, why not!?!? Let’s send all the Yemenis back to Yemen, so they can go through their own re-education camp and learn NEW fighting tools, since they plan to attack us again. Nice job, Barry… keep it up and we may survive till the 2010 elections. Chump!

“This (State Dept.) employee says that despite statements from the Obama Administration, such information was flagged and given higher priority during the Bush Administration, but that since the changeover “we are encouraged to not create the appearance that we are profiling or targeting Muslims. I think career employees were uncomfortable with the Bush procedures and policies and were relieved to not have to live under them any longer.
“…the State Department source says at that time Abdulmutallab was not on a watch list and traveled to Houston on that visa without incident. A year later, in May 2009, his application for a student visa to return to Britain was rejected because the college Abdulmutallab claimed he would attend was “bogus,” and that red flag was shared with U.S. State Department, Homeland Security Department, U.S. Justice Department, and almost certainly U.S. intelligence agencies.
“The State source says that several schools, particularly those with ties to the British Muslim community, have come under tighter scrutiny over the past five years, and when foreign nationals with Muslim backgrounds apply to those schools, it is red flag for British security offices.
“I’m not saying that this kind of screw up might not have happened in the Bush Administration,” the State source says, referring to the Christmas Day snafu. “I’m just saying that a number of us were encouraged to have a different mindset about such intel and such individuals, and today, we are encouraged not to have that same mindset.”
On Sunday’s “This Week,” Jake Tapper filled in for Stephanopolous, and his first guest was DHS Secretary, Janet Napolitano. I’ll just let you watch and judge for yourself: Did the system work “as planned?” If “as planned” you mean the passengers tackled Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab before he could carry out his plan, then yes, the system worked “as planned.”
But is she seriously supposed to expect us to believe that the GOVERNMENT sytem worked as planned? This jihadi apparently got some training in Yemen, probably purchased the PETN in Yemen, and his father reported him to the US Embassy in Nigeria in November of this year due to his radical extremist beliefs!!!
Not to mention that, it’s been reported Farouk bought a one-way ticket, paid cash, had no luggage, and was on some type of government watch list (if not the official no-fly list). So tell me, Janet…how did the system work “as planned?” You are an inept fool, who is well above your head in all things “national security.” I’m still waiting for Obama to pat you on the back and say “good job, Jannie.”
Good grief, folks, this insanity has to STOP! And can we please continue to use the term ‘terrorists,’ the ‘war on terror,’ and LEAVE Gitmo alone? Gitmo transferred many of the terrorists there BACK to Yemen, where apparently they went right back to work plotting and planning to kill infidels.
Dear God almighty, this P.C. administration is going to get us ALL killed!
Tonight on Special Report, the panel was excellent as usual. Recent reports revealed that KSM’s attorneys say he and his co-horts will plead ‘not guilty’ so they can explain in court why 9/11, along with their assessment of American foreign policy as they see it.
