Herman Cain at the First FairTax Rally in 2006 (VIDEO)

With Herman Cain rising in popularity in the 2012 election cycle, I just HAD to find this video of his appearance at the inaugural rally for the FairTax in Gwinnett County, GA in 2006! (It’s not the greatest quality, but it’ll do.) I am urging everyone to look into Herman Cain more and get to know him.

He’s a rising star, and I think he has what it takes to make America great again. Of course he hasn’t held elective office before, but that, to me, is what makes him so attractive. The American government IS a business, so isn’t it time we HAVE a businessman in office to run this country? God knows he couldn’t do any worse than Obama has done… in fact, I am ANXIOUS and awaiting with baited breath to see him SLAY Obama in a debate!

From all your fans in Georgia, Mr. Cain… ‘H-I-T-M, Herman!’

And oh… doesn’t hurt that he’s a FairTax proponent, does it? ;-)

Beck’s “One Thing” On the Townhall Protests (VIDEO)

Today on Beck’s show, he talked about the outrage and protests surrounding the Townhall events being held around the country. In response to the alleged “angry mobs,” Obama and his Chicago-style thuggery attempted to intervene, including the “purple shirts” from SEIU. It wasn’t until the SEIU showed up that these Townhalls turned violent.

He also highlighted a video from this past weekend, right here in Georgia, of Congressman David Scott who was so incensed by being asked a healthcare question at a forum in Douglasville, set up to discuss a road project, that he lost his cool and lambasted a PHYSICIAN from HIS 13th Congressional district, claiming the doctor hijacked the forum! WTF?

Oh, yeah, and there’s supposedly something wrong and “Un-American” (according to Pelosi & Hoyer, in a USA Today op-ed) about voicing dissent at these gatherings. And don’t forget, one of the primary charges about the protest is that they are “manufactured” and “organized.” Wait a minute. Since when did a party completely beholden to community organizers deem it IMPROPER to BE organized at the community level? Oh, yeah…never mind.

There have been assaults by the SEIU thugs, Craigslist ads ASKING for folks to sign up for “jobs that matter,” paying between $11 to $16 per hour with benefits, for folks who want to sign up and help in grassroots efforts to ADVANCE the Obamacare plan. Again, WTF? It’s bad for genuine REAL folks to gather and dissent, with no direction from ANY organization, but it’s totally okay for people to answer Craigslist ads and perform the dictates ascribed them FOR PAY?

That’s what’s happening, folks. Americans are seeing through the bullshi* – and we don’t believe a word of it.

Black GA Lawmakers Storm Out of the House Over Their Resolution to Honor Barack Obama (VIDEO)

Oh, please, spare me the fake outrage. Do you really believe in this language yourself? Especially in light of what’s happened over the past couple of weeks? Give me a freakin’ break!

From MyFoxAtlanta.com:

ATLANTA – Two dozen black lawmakers angrily stalked out of the Georgia House on Friday amid claims a decision by white Republican leaders to delay passage of a resolution honoring President Barack Obama had racist overtones.

House Speaker Glenn Richardson said the proposal to make Obama an honorary member of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus required some changes to its language and sent it to a committee. Supporters, including black lawmakers, claimed the move was a snub to the nation’s first black president.

“It drips with racism,” said state Rep. Al Williams, a Democrat. “I call it just like it is.”

State Rep. Austin Scott said he and other Republicans objected to wording that would have put the full chamber on record backing the resolution and its declaration of Obama as a man with an “unimpeachable reputation for integrity.”

He said he blocked the proposal after Democrats balked at revising the wording.

“All we’ve requested is minor changes to the language,” he said.

Some noted it was a rare move in the Georgia Capitol, where lawmakers routinely adopt all manner of resolutions without debate and often through a show of hands, from measures honoring a constituent’s wedding anniversary to others offering condolences upon a death.

The furor began Thursday when the Republican-controlled House voted 70-68 to reject the resolution. Black lawmakers then walked out Friday, seconds after leaders sent the measure to a committee for reworking.

I don’t think we’ll hear the end of this, but it’s just another embarrassment for the state of Georgia. Thank you Cynthia McKinney and Jimmy Carter. /sarc

We Did It, Georgia! Saxby Won!

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: 2008 Campaign, Georgia, Good News! — Tags: , , , , 3 Comments

Well, with over 60% of precincts in, Saxby has a 20-point lead over that weasel Jim Martinj in the runoff race. According to the AP, the race is now called for Saxby. Now the defeatocrats can say bye-bye to their 60-seat super majority!

I’m proud to say that I went and voted today, and I am so proud of all my other fellow Georgians for pulling it out. Now it comes time to start building the party back up to what it once way, and I will be keeping a close eye on Saxby to keep him straight. And Neal Boortz will also be doing the same, as he does all politicians.

I do have to say, though, that I was a bit worried. Martin did, after all, have such political powerhouses like Ludacris, T.I., and Young Jeezy stumping for him! /sarc

Rice & Saakashvili Speaking in Tblisi (VIDEOS)

Today Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili were together in Tbilisi at a joint press conference about the state of affairs in Georgia today.

You can tell Saakashvili is fed up with diplomacy. He even reminded us that today we are facing evil (and he wasn’t afraid to say it). Most of the drive-by media are excusing Russia and blaming Georgia, but that’s just the lefty way; cuddle up with America’s enemies and you are in the good graces of the kook fringe left. This press conference was so good, I decided not to slice it at all. I want everyone to be able to see everything, including the Q&A session. Saakashvili is a passionate man who is standing his ground unapologetic, has had enough of the bullshit from the Russians and their propaganda machine, and he’s not backing down. In fact, in parts, I thought I was listening to Ronald Reagan.

You can watch the entire press conference in segments here, here, here, here, and here.
