Joy Behar Finds Religion…in Defending Obama Citing Jesus to Justify Taxing the Rich (VIDEO)

Is this rich, or what? Joy Behar has been nominally “religious” in the past, only alluding to the fact that she’s Catholic, but when it comes to all others besides herself (see “Republicans” or “Conservatives”), religion has always been a bad thing.

Yet today she seems to go whole-hog (pun intended) to defend Obama’s recent National Prayer Day Breakfast speech, where he tries to invoke scripture, saying that Jesus Christ would be in favor of his wealth redistribution plans via increased taxes on the wealthy, i.e.,”socialism.” And Joy finds Jesus.

She argues with Elisabeth Hasselbeck that the right must have forgotten the “meek shal inherit the earth” part of the bible.

Huh?

Joy, you should be very careful citing scripture, especially if you don’t know it yourself.

What does the meek inheriting the earth have to do with Jesus supporting taxing the wealthy? What about the passage from 2 Thessalonians, 3:10 “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat?”

Joy, thou doth not knowest where thy speaketh from.

Joy also can’t resist getting a dig in at her favorite target, President Bush. She says he only discussed faith from what he learned “in the 12 step program.” Really Joy? What, are you 12? Really? Elisabeth rightly takes you to task on that, too. Then what is this nonsense that Whoopi gets into, saying for them to do a fair “tit-for-tat” comparison of what different Presidents have said, they (Whoopi & Elisabeth) would have to both do oppo research so they could provide equal examples of both. Hey, Whoopi…since when did “equal time” or “fair and balanced” enter your vernacular when bashing the right? And then Barbara piles on, saying she understands why people like Elisabeth would have her view since they don’t like Obama. Et. tu, Barbara?

This should come as no surprise to anyone, mostly to Joy. Admit it, Joy…Elisabeth got the best of you, and you couldn’t stand it. Sadly I think you believe God speaks against “false profits,” instead of “false prophets.” Unfortunately you probably don’t know any better. Nevertheless, I don’t feel sorry for you one bit. It’s so obvious when you get angry when you lose arguments… and OH, DO I LOVE THOSE MOMENTS!

Marco Rubio’s Keynote Address at HLN Conference (VIDEO)

I know this is a week or so old, but for those of you who have not seen it, I would categorieze this as “must-see” video. This is from the Hispanic Leadership Network Conference in Miami Florida on January 27th. Marco Rubio is one of those Freshmen Republicans in Washington, but his star shines bright on the horizon. I expect many good things from this man in the future, and there couldn’t be a more important time in America’s history for people of Rubio’s character to become involved in politics to help right this ship.

A couple of excerpts from the transcript of the speech:

…when the choices that are put before us today are dangerous ones, because if we choose this path of pitting people against each other, if we buy into this notion that our economy really can’t grow fast enough for all of us to prosper so we’re going to have to somehow empower government to distribute the wealth of this country among us, we’ve chosen to become like everybody else. We’ve chosen to become like the countries that your parents and grandparents came here to get away from. And that’s a powerful message. And that’s the message that we need to deliver. And that’s the message we need to work on delivering. It’s a winning message, but it’s a difficult message to get to because the gateway issue of immigration stands in the minds of so many people who we live next to and love.

And what we have given the world, on issue after issue, is a light. A light that shines upon the world, and says that all human beings are endowed by God their creator with rights. That the source of those rights are not your king, your president, your laws or your government, but that you’re born with them. And because of that, anything you want to do, you should have a chance to be. Doesn’t matter where you were born, or where you came from, or whether your last name ends in a vowel. That’s who we have been, and if this century is to be an American Century, we have to figure out a way to make sure that that is who we remain.

I know Rubio has said “no” to a VP pick this year, but we can all dream, can’t we? There are so many young stars in this current Freshman class, I just hope America can survive until they reach those points in their careers where they are ready to run.

Replay and Breakdown of Tebow-Taylor Miracle Bronco Win Tonight (VIDEO)

This video is for all the Tebow naysayers out there. The 4th quarter ended in a 23 to 23 tie, but in overtime, Tebow passed to Taylor for a miracle run for the end zone. The Bronco’s take the 29 to 23 win in the first OT play.

Bill Maher’s “Real Time” should be interesting this Friday…it’s the season premiere. It would be a safe bet to say he’s gonna rip Tim Tebow and Christianity again. Oh, Bill…can you please, for once, be unpredictable?

You Must See Rick Perry’s New Ad: “America Is Calling” (VIDEO)

This is the quality of character that this country is sorely missing in our Commander in Chief. Remember when George Bush, regardless of how bad things were, he would always remind us of how great America is, how exceptional Americans really are, and how we would always muddle through no matter what? I do…and I miss that.

Now I’m not saying I need to have mmy hand held by my president, but I am saying that what the president says and re-iterates over and over sets the overall tone for the country as a hole. How much longer do you want to hear our president call us lazy, cowardly, arrogant, and so many other things, like Barack Obama has done all throughout his first 3 years as president? I’m sick of it, and I’m ready for a new day, a new president, and a revival of the American spirit so we are motivated to rediscover that entrepreneurial, unbreakable, enigmatic sense of what it means to BE an American!

If Rick Perry doesn’t win the nomination, I believe he would be a fantastic V.P. candidate for whomever is chosen to be the nominee. Make no mistake, I’m not giving up on him for the nomination, but I’m just saying he is a breath of fresh air and this country needs him. America is calling…not just for someone like Rick Perry, but for folks like you and me to do the necessary things to make sure we get REAL change in 2012.

How Great Thou Art by Carrie Underwood (VIDEO)

No, this is not a new video. I just ran across it viewing other things, and as I watched I realized tears were streaming down my cheeks. I remember my Granny, who is now passed on, singing this in church when I was just a little girl. I remember her finding it my hymnal for me, and as I stood there beside her, I held her hand and swayed with her as we both sang this beautiful hymn praising Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Granny, this one’s for you. I know you remember us singing this, too. I also remember you playing it on your piano at home. I miss you so very much.
