Herman Cain on Scoreboard: What Obama’s Gotten Wrong So Far With the Business Community (VIDEO)

Today, Herman Cain appeared with David Asman on Fox Business’ “Scoreboard” to talk about what President Obama has gotten wrong so far in dealing with America’s small businesses. Herman also gives some ideas and suggestions that he could and would give Obama, if asked, about how to help the economy and help businesses bounce back in these economic times. The primary item? America’s standing as the second-highest in the world regarding corporate taxes, and what he would do to help get our economy going again.

Lastly, Herman dives in to the 2012 Presidential elections, saying he is getting more and more close to throwing his hat into the ring for that office. Herman has been a CEO, business owner, entrepreneur, economic dynamo, and common-sense thinker in regards to what it will take for America to not only get moving in the right direction again, but what things we can do to make America the economic powerhouse it has been and should be for the benefit of the entire world’s economy.

If you’re not familiar with Herman Cain, you should be. Check out his website at HermanCain.com, and understand that he is one of the foremost advocates of the FairTax.

I was privileged to be a part of a group of bloggers at the Americans for Prosperity Summit this past August in Washington D.C., where Herman visited bloggers’ row and gave us an in-depth sit-down interview about what it will take to get this country back on track. Trust me, folks…Herman Cain is the real deal!

Wise Words From a Brilliant Man, Herman Cain: “A Long Road Ahead”

If you don’t live in Georgia, or if you haven’t been in the grassroots events circles, you may not know Herman Cain. That is too bad for you. Herman Cain is a true patriot, and one strong-willed conservative, whose integrity is without challenge. He visited us on Bloggers’ Row at the Americans For Prosperity Annual Summit in D.C. at the end of this past August. From Herman’s latest column, as it appears in The Daily Caller:

This two-year hijacking of our government by an ultra-liberal president and Congress has put this country on a fast and dangerous path to socialism. It has been fast when you consider how fast the national debt has escalated while the economy has stalled. And even though we survived the financial meltdown of late 2008 and early 2009, we are still dangerously close to a double-dip recession. Even worse, a depression is possible depending upon the actions of the upcoming lame duck session of Congress.

Herman Cain AFP Speaker

The first priority for the newly elected Congress is to rebuild some credibility with the American people. The new political party in control must do what it said it would do, even if it does not ultimately become law. The people are tired of being lied to, deceived and ignored. Congress’s approval rating is at an all-time low for those reasons.

The voters also want the spending and spending deception to stop in a dramatic way. A $1 trillion stimulus bill has not stimulated the economy. It has created 198,000 new federal government jobs, while private sector jobs have decreased by more than 7 million since the end of 2007. The new Congress should do something dramatic, such as ending earmarks in proposed legislation, or refusing to allow any increases in federal budgets, except maybe national security spending and homeland security.

Onerous new legislation and regulations have caused businesses to save their cash, if they have any, because of the massive uncertainty created by this administration and Congress. The new Congress should repeal, rollback and replace those policies that have brought this economy to a halt.

These suggestions are not new, and are small steps on the long road to recovery of our once energetic economy. Congress has got to establish some serious fiscal discipline, and we must reclaim our constitutional liberties.

This can be accomplished, but only if we continue the move back to conservative leadership in Washington, D.C. And it’s going to be tough every step of the way.

If you don’t know Herman Cain, I urge you to go read the rest of this article at the Daily Caller, and you can listen to him online weeknights on Atlanta’s WSB Radio, AM 750 & 95.5 FM from 7 to 10 PM. And if you want to be really impressed, check out his bio here.

And oh… Herman’s thinking about running in 2012. Yeah, you heard me. He’s in “prayerful consideration” for running. I am saying my prayers for him, too. GO HERMAN, GO!

Herman Cain Treats Bloggers at the AFP Summit to a Sit-Down Interview (VIDEO)

One of the guest speakers for the mid-day Opening Session luncheon, Herman Cain, popped in to the AFP Bloggers’ Row, and to our tremendous surprise, he was willing to give us all a sit-down interview. The whole group got to ask him questions, one at a time, about what his political plans are for the future, and solutions he would propose to fix the problems in our nation today.

For those of you who don’t know Herman, he’s a much-beloved Atlanta talk show host on WSB Radio. He’s also a staunch proponent of the Fair Tax. Herman Cain has quite an impressive bio, and here is just a portion of it from his website:

In 1986, Pillsbury appointed Cain to the presidency of the then financially troubled Godfather’s Pizza, Inc. chain headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. In 14 short months, under Cain’s leadership, the chain regained profitability. In 1988, he led his executive team in a buyout of the company from Pillsbury.

Cain was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association in 1988. In 1994 to 1995, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. While leading this association, he developed the organization into a pro-business voice via national debates and speeches concerning health care reform, employment policies, and taxation. Following this experience, he was appointed to serve on the Economic Growth and Tax Reform Commission in addition to serving as Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He then became a senior advisor to the 1996 Dole/Kemp campaign for the Presidency.

Herman Cain continued the responsibilities of President and Chairman of Godfather’s Pizza, Incorporated, while beginning a second career delivering national keynote speeches. Using his messages as the foundation, he created his own leadership consulting company, The THE New Voice, Inc. THE New Voice packages his speaking and develops his products, including books, DVDs, CDs of gospel music, and promotes his keynote speeches. He has authored four books to date on topics ranging from leadership to self-empowerment including Leadership is Common Sense and CEO of Self.

Herman is a force to be reckoned with, and as I Tweeted during the AFP Summit, Herman told us at the Georgia Luncheon he’s gone from being in “prayerful consideration” to running for President in 2012, to now being in “serious consideration.” And for those of you who don’t know Herman like Georgians know Herman, I’d pay good money to see a debate between him and our current POTUS. Obama wouldn’t know what hit him. And Herman doesn’t need a teleprompter, either.

Herman Cain at the SRLC on The Way Forward for Conservatives (Video)

For those outside of Atlanta, Georgia, get ready for a real treat. Our resident common-sense conservative patriot, Herman Cain, spoke so eloquently at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans. I’ve been listening to Herman Cain on Atlanta’s WSB Radio AM 750 for years now, and he is a strong proponent of the Fair Tax. He’s also the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza. He not only has his own show at 7PM EST on WSB Radio, but when Neal Boortz is out, Herman subs for him.

When the first Fair Tax rally happened in Gwinnett County, GA, Herman’s speech roused the crowd to the point of all of us nearly speaking in tongues. Preach it brother Cain… PREACH IT!

P.S. Listen to the very end of the clip… what do you think about Herman’s comment? I would LOVE it if what I take from it is true. It’s time for all the Intelligent Thinkers Movemtn to unite. And the Fair Tax is really the ONLY way to fix this economy. Please consider and research more on Herman Cain. He’s the real deal. I am so proud he’s a fellow Georgian.
