Beck: What’s Happening To Us? Where Are Our Priorities? (VIDEO)

Today’s Glenn Beck show was a very somber yet thought-provoking one. Living, breathing, sentient beings are turning against one another, and for stupid, idiotic reasons. Since when did we think it was good for the Republic that we be fighting amongst ourselves, instead of uniting together again like we did on 9/11 & 9/12/01?

Unfortunately, our priorities are all fouled up. The man-on-the-street interviews done by many TV hosts show the sad state of intellect and knowledge that is going to be the death of this country if we don’t wise up.

Glenn makes a great point about this very subject. Why is it that “The Jersey Shore” has record-breaking ratings for MTV, yet most of the viewers of these shows cannot name many elected officials when shown their photos? Why do we ALLOW ourselves to become so focused on the “Entertainment Tonight” shows of the world, yet refuse to pull our heads out of our asses long enough to at least pay attention to some of what’s going on in the real world?

I mean, I understand the need to escape every now and then, and then there’s the Schadenfreude of watching fools like Snooki, Paris, and the Bachelor, but sooner or later these same folks are going to wake up and be shocked into reality, asking “WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY COUNTRY?” Dude…you might not have been so surprised if you had been paying attention all along, and perhaps becoming involved to whatever extent for which you can find the time.

After all, if we have men and women in uniform fighting and dying on battlefields around the globe for your very FREEDOM to be so ignorant about current events, the least you can do is make yourself aware of what’s going on in the world…outside of reality TV, that is.

As I told a friend once, “You say that you are not into politics, but whether you like it or not, sooner or later politics gets into you.” It’s attitudes like these that make most Americans believe Sarah Palin said “I can see Russia from my house,” yet have never even ONCE heard/saw the video of Pelosi saying “We have to pass the bill so we can find out what’s in it” referring to Obamacare.

It is a truly sad state of affairs, and I’m afraid society will fall if we don’t get our acts together… like YESTERDAY!

O’Reilly on Obama’s ‘Like it or Not, We’re a Military Superpower’ (VIDEO)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who was troubled by this comment of Obama’s after the recent conference on nuclear proliferation. He said “whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower,” at which point I had to pick my chin up off the floor. I, like O’Reilly, am stunned that this came out of our President’s mouth. And I also agree that Obama is uncomfortable with our military prowess; especially after he previously stated he didn’t like to use the word “victory,” and the National Security Strategy documentation has been modified to remove all occurrences of the words “jihad,” “Islamic extremism,” “radical Islam,” etc.

But guests Nancy Skinner, liberal talk show host, and Sally Quinn, religion-writer for the Washington Post, don’t see it the way we do. In fact, Ms. Quinn believes that Obama is indeed comfortable being the most powerful man in the world, and insists that what he said ONLY meant that he regretted we had to be dragged into world conflicts.

You be the judge, but I stand by my gut instinct.

The Brecht Forum: ‘Let’s Destroy the United States of America!’ (VIDEO)

Wow… just wow. Glenn introduced us to a fabulous new ‘social’ group today. They are all members of The Brecht Forum. Who are they you ask? The Brecht Forum website offers several neat-o commie options, touting the New York Marxist School. Amazing. Simply. Amazing. On their “About Us” page? Here’s the ‘fun’ stuff:

The BRECHT FORUM is a place for people who are working for social justice, equality and a new culture that puts human needs first. Through its programs and events, the Brecht Forum brings people together across social and cultural boundaries and artistic and academic disciplines to promote critical analysis, creative thinking, collaborative projects and networking in an independent community-level environment.

Jed Brandt, apparently a member of this communist group, goes on to tell us how he really feels about Capitalism and the United States of America.

Oh yeah… they’re going to TAKE our insurance companies, TAKE all the farms, and they will also SHUT DOWN the military apparatus of this country! (That last one will be real fun to watch. EPIC. FAIL.)

And about that New York Marxist School?

When people attempt to resolve the problems that plague everyday life and even threaten survival on this planet, from poverty, disease, discrimination and alienation to war, economic crisis and environmental devastation, they come face to face with difficult questions: Can society be changed significantly for the better? What kind of changes would be needed? and, Who could bring about such changes?

Questions like these are what motivated Karl Marx and Fredrick Engels to develop a method for studying the dynamics of change in societies.

In 1975, a group of civil rights, community, labor, and student activists came together to found the Brecht Forum’s New York Marxist School. They saw the study of marxism as central, not as a dogma but as a living current of thought and as a vital tool for understanding capitalist society. They believed that the study of our reality, an informed public, clear-headed reflection on our actions, and an open, and inclusive space for the exchange of experience and discussion and debate of ideas are all essential to the kind of movement we need if we want to create a better world..

Their collective vision combined with their commitment to the struggle for social transformation led them to develop a vital, non-sectarian institution that could offer serious study and discussion of social and political issues in a non-academic, community-level setting.

And according to their YouTube Channel:

The BRECHT FORUM is a place for people who are working for social justice, equality and a new culture that puts human needs first. Through its programs and events, the Brecht Forum brings people together across social and cultural boundaries and artistic and academic disciplines to promote critical analysis, creative thinking, collaborative projects and networking in an independent community-level environment.

Sounds like a SUPER fun group of folks to hang around with, doesn’t it? I’m going to have to do some more digging into this Jed Brandt character. Stay tuned, folks.

Beck on Van Jones Bringing Down…Van Jones (VIDEO)

Glenn Beck today reflected on Van Jones’ resignation over this past weekened, saying he didn’t deserve credit for it, although he received just that all weekend long via Twitter, email and voice mail. Glenn wonders, as do I, why the ONLY thing folks seemingly find a problem with is his participation as a 9/11 “truther.”

A truther? That’s it? That’s all folks are concerned about? There is MUCH more disturbing information about Jones that should be MORE troubling to ALL Americans! Examples include his past self-avowed proclamation as a Communist, his work as a revolutionary for S.T.O.R.M., his respect and admiration of Che & other dictators, his link to the groups who want to free cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal (also a self-avowed Communist), his links with the California “CopWatch” group, his assertion that “white polluters” were intentionally poisoning people of color, his desires to use the Green movement to get “social justice” for people of color, his disdain for the people of Isreal, his past as a black nationalist, and on and on and on. I could go for much longer, but I think you get my point.

The most troubling aspect of this whole thing to me is this: Even though Van Jones resigned, the White House never said they disagreed with Jones’ politics; only that they were sad to see him go.

Folks, I ask you to watch this video a few times and ask yourself a few questions:

  • Can you support a president who does not disavow the beliefs of a man like Van Jones?
  • How many other of the “czars” are there in the Obama Administration that we need to know about?
  • If the White House doesn’t vet people like Van Jones, even with the cabinet-level position questionnaire others hand to answer, how can you trust any of their other unaccountable appointments?
  • Are you willing to blindly trust anything that this administration, and/or the Democrat-controlled Congress tries to thrust upon this nation?

If you answered “no” or “I’m not sure” to ANY of these questions folks, we are in trouble. As you saw today, as Van Jones is on the way out, Ron Bloom is the newest czar of Manufacturing. How much longer will you allow this to continue? And don’t give me this crap about “what can I do?” You can do your due diligence as AMERICANS, stand up and tell this government you will NOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

Obama and Congress…DON’T TREAD ON ME!!!!

I’ll see you guys next Saturday in D.C. I’ll be there for the march, and I hope to see you there, as well. It’s time to make our voices heard. We are the silent majority NO MORE!

Beck on Obama’s ‘Civilian National Security Force’ – “Who Are We Fighting?” (VIDEO)

Today on Beck, he spotlighted Obama’s oft-repeated mantra about the need for a “civilian national security force,” one that is “just as powerful, just as strong, and just as well-funded” as our military force.

Beck asks a reasonable question of the president: “Who are we fighting?” What possible enemy would a civilian security force be formed to combat? Enemies who could cross the southern border? Nope, we tried that one already – the Minutemen – and they were roundly vilified as “racists” and attacked wherever they appeared to speak.

According to the Obama Administration itself, we are no longer at war with Islamic extremists, so why would we need to amass such a vast civilian security force? Honestly, why?

It is time for ALL lovers of freedom and the Constitution to do as Glenn suggests: 1) Question with boldness, 2) Hold to the truth whatever it may be, and 3) Speak without fear.

What do we have to lose if we ask questions, except for potentially our very freedom TO ask questions?

I don’t give a damn if you hate Glenn or Fox News at all. It would behoove you to watch and listen, even if it is only to challenge GLENN’S motives to pose his questions for all to answer. Consider it a 17-minute investment of your time. If you don’t feel like anything’s amiss with what’s happening, then go along your merry way and whistle while you work. If you do listen intently and understand the specificity of Glenn’s questions, then you just might feel inclined to ask them yourself – ask them of your elected officials wherever you live.

I’ve met many people in discussions of politics who tell me “oh, I don’t get into politics.” I remind them that whether or not they like it, they may not get into politics now, but sooner or later, politics will get into them by way of force. If they refuse to accept it, those will be the fools who wake up one day and ask “what the hell happened to America????”

These folks will have only themselves to blame. Wake up, stand up, speak out, and refuse to sit down and be quiet. Our freedoms are too precious to simply brush aside because you don’t want to “get involved.”

What’s that old axiom?…’if you don’t vote, you get the government you deserve’ – and you have no justification to complain when things go horribly awry.

It’s your country, your government, and your freedoms at stake, people. Are they worth fighting for? That’s my bold question for you.
