Obviously after yesterday’s horrific murder of the guard at the Holocaust Museum, all the media’s attention was focused on James Von Brunn. But his violence visited upon others was not the only of the recent past. There have been two others, including that of abortion Dr. George Tiller and Army Pvt. William Long at the Army Recruiting Station in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Today Beck had Dr. Keith Ablow, forensic psychiatrist, on to explain the hate that is being felt in the world today – specifically towards Jews. Also take into consideration this past weekend’s interview with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s former Pastor, and his racist rant in the Q&A:
“Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.”
So, Dr. Ablow explains who’s more dangerous. Von Brunn or Dr. Wright? You might be surprised.
Yes, he did. Last night on Bill O’Reilly, Ellis Henican was on to discuss the obvious media bias in the coverage of the recent murders of Dr. George Tiller, Army Pvt. William Long, and Guard Stephen T. Johns. However, Ellis didn’t agree it was media bias, but decided to explain the “newsworthiness” criteria to O’Reilly. You see, there are three things to take into consideration, according to Ellis, and they are this:
1. The prominence of the victim.
2. The incendiary aspects of the issue behind the murder.
3. Who is fanning the flames of that issue?
So, Ellis. Are you saying Pvt. Long is not prominent-enough of a victim to be considered newsworthy? Oh, REALLY?!? Okay fair enough. I’ll give you that much (in the mind of the MSM, that is, but I don’t agree), so let’s move on to the second criteria: the incendiary aspects of the issue behind the murder.
Pvt. Long was murdered BECAUSE he was an American, BECAUSE he was in the military, and BECAUSE he and his brothers are currently fighting a war against jihadists around the globe. You don’t believe these qualify for “incendiary aspects” surrounding the issue of this murder? Sorry, dude, but you’re way off base on that.
And lastly: Who’s fanning the flames of the issue? Why, it’s none other than militant Islam, if you must ask, Ellis. And you don’t think THAT piece of criteria is met? Oh, wait, that’s right. You’re part of the chickensh*t MSM who is afraid to report on crimes committed on behalf of the prophet Mohammed, so you just ignore them. Or, is it because you feel if you report this as a “hate crime” by an Islamofascist, that you will not meet your precious “criteria” to remain part of the liberal bastion that resides in the leftist media?
Perhaps you think if you cover it with equal reportage as the other murders (which are all also heinous), you might lend unintentional credence to the fact that we ARE still involved in a war against radical Islamofascism (and not an ‘overseas contingency operation’). Who knows? I certainly don’t, and your mind is not one that I’m inclined to pick through to figure out.
Mr. Henican, I would dare say that our military men & women serving in whatever capacity they are serving carry a lot more “prominence” in this society than people like you ever will.
Journalism is slowing sinking to the likability factors equal to that of lawyers. And of similar credulity. Shame on you.
Check the next post up, Mr. Henican, for a sweet dressing-down by Dennis Miller.
Tonight on Special Report, MRC’s Brent Bozell was on with Bret Baier to discuss and explain the blatant media bias over this past week between the reporting of abortion doctor Tiller’s killer, and the radical Muslim fanatic who gunned down an Army Recruiter in Arkansas, and injured another soldier. In Little Rock ARK, Army Pvt. William Long was killed by an islamofascist, and it’s now being discovered he had other plans in mind. He also may not be working alone.
Dr. Tiller’s killer was a lone crazed gunman, one that everyone condemned, and the Obama administration came out immediately making a strong statement against that. Attorney General, Eric Holder, immediately ordered more security at select abortion clinics, and there’s been near round-the-clock media outrage over that murder.
Compare that to Pvt. Long’s murder. Hardly anyone but conservative bloggers and Fox News are covering it, and Bret said he could not even get an official statement from the White House about it up to the time of his report tonight. They would only say they issued a non-formal statement to Arkansas media, and only at their request for one.
No sane person can compare these two incidents and say there’s no media (or White House) bias between these two events.
You can count the number of abortion doctors who have been murdered on one hand. Yet the number of innocents and “infidels” killed by radical islamists number in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions.
So, I ask all of you. Can you please explain why the difference in reporting?
Jeff Sessions and Rush Limbaugh discuss the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor on Greta’s “On The Record.” This is just the saddest and most egregious human condition some people find themselves in at times.
Patricia Ireland, feminist and attorney for N.O.W. was on O’Reilly tonight to discuss the murder of Dr. George Tiller, a.k.a. “Tiller the Baby Killer,” and the two got into it about when life begins and whose life is more important. This was really a great discussion, and Ireland seemed to get lost. Never a good idea to go on O’Reilly when you’re trying to defend the practice of someone who was responsible for killing over 60,000 unborn babies.
Okay, I’m ready for the b.s. headed my way after that last sentence. Go ahead and bring it on.
