“One Nation Under Socialism” – New McNaughton Art (VIDEO)

Artist Jon McNaughton released his latest painting recently. From the YouTube video description:

“I pledge allegiance to the United States of America,
And not to an ideology, which can never stand,
One nation under socialism, divisive,
With no liberty or justice for anyone.”

This November, you will make a choice. Will you choose One Nation Under Socialism?

McNaughton’s Answers to Questions Regarding This Painting:

Q: Why the title “One Nation Under Socialism?”

A: Our federal government has been moving in the direction of socialism for over one hundred years. Many presidents and politicians have compromised the Constitution as we have given away our freedoms under the guise of entitlements and government intervention. When the people are willing to sacrifice the next generation for their current lifestyles and allow the federal government to have all the power for an illusory mess of pottage—you have chosen One Nation Under Socialism.

Q: What do you mean by an ideology, which can never stand?

A: I will not support an ideology, which will lead to the destruction of America. In the history of the world, never has there been a recorded example where Socialism has led to the betterment of the human condition or improved the liberty of the people. I know there are varying degrees and definitions of “socialism.” Even the European model of Democratic Socialism has proven to be a dismal failure. Do you want to see our country become like Greece, Italy, Portugal, or even Great Britain?

Q: What do you mean by “divisive, with no liberty or justice for anyone?”

A: Socialism uses the illusion of offering fairness and justice for everyone by redistributing the wealth of the nation; picking and choosing winners and losers. This administration has taken over our health care system, given bailouts to the automotive industry, banking industry and energy industry. They support the “Occupy Wall Street” movement of increased taxing of the rich to pay for the welfare of the “less rich.” The Constitution never guaranteed equal things—only equal rights and justice. In America we should be FREE TO SUCCEED and FREE TO FAIL!

At this very moment our Constitution is literally going up in flames. What will you do to preserve the Constitution and save America?

Amen, Mr. Naughton…amen. Americans, will you wait up before it’s too late? Our future depends on it.

    History Lesson for all you Founding Fathers Tea Party historians:

    In 1790, the first Congress, which was packed with framers, required all ship owners to provide medical insurance for seamen; in 1798, Congress also required seamen to buy hospital insurance for themselves. In 1792, Congress enacted a law mandating that all able-bodied citizens obtain a firearm. Mandates were approved by Congressmen who had also signed the Constitution. The proof: the proposal mandating the purchase of a musket, firelock or rifle as part of the larger bill to establish a uniform militia, 10 of the 14 framers whose votes were recorded endorsed the measure.

    Socialism is not as overly simple as you may have been shown.  I’m guessing you are a Christian judging by the McNaughton art. I was just wondering what you think of the idea of jubilee as described in Leviticus? At the end of the seven cycles of the Sabbatical years there is a redistribution of all wealth and all land was given back to its original owner. Also during this time all debts were cleared among the jews. And what about the Church in Acts, they gave to everyone as he had need, shared everything they had, and forsook the government who’s rule they lived under for a better way of living (yes i know paul said they still had to paid their taxes). When the Jews asked for a monarchy ruled by man, God tried to discourage them from it. Then from there things got pretty bad, as you may know. If this man is right, and if I’m not mistaken God is love, then why would God speak out of fear through this man speaking in the video?  Gods kingdom is not of this world and the church does not need to be sitting around waiting for the world to change and fix all our problem with empires. The Church should get off her ass and feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and break the chains of injustice. It doesn’t need a government to do that either, in fact it has done these things from time to time when it was heading in the right direction, without the saintly United States of America, for a very long time.
