Live RPG Removed From Soldier After Taliban Ambush (VIDEO)

From the Military Times.

(Warning: Video contains a few graphic images from the operating room.)

Army Spc. Channing Moss was impaled by a live RPG during a Taliban ambush while on patrol in Afghanistan. Army protocol says that medevac choppers are never to carry anyone with a live round in him. Even though they feared it could explode, the flight crew said ‘damn the protocol’ and flew him to the nearest aid station. For medics that was their only choice.

Again, protocol said that in such a case the patient is to be put in a sandbagged area away from the surgical unit, given a shot of morphine and left to wait (and die) until others are treated. Again, the medical team ignored the protocol. This video put together by the Military Times includes actual footage of the surgery where Dr. John Oh, a Korean immigrant who became a naturalized citizen and went on to graduate from West Point, removed the live round with the help of volunteers and a member of the EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) team.

Thank God for people like PVT Channing Moss and Dr. John Oh. These folks are the true heroes. And yes, they are part of the American military ‘superpower’ of which we are so proud.

O’Reilly on Obama’s ‘Like it or Not, We’re a Military Superpower’ (VIDEO)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who was troubled by this comment of Obama’s after the recent conference on nuclear proliferation. He said “whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower,” at which point I had to pick my chin up off the floor. I, like O’Reilly, am stunned that this came out of our President’s mouth. And I also agree that Obama is uncomfortable with our military prowess; especially after he previously stated he didn’t like to use the word “victory,” and the National Security Strategy documentation has been modified to remove all occurrences of the words “jihad,” “Islamic extremism,” “radical Islam,” etc.

But guests Nancy Skinner, liberal talk show host, and Sally Quinn, religion-writer for the Washington Post, don’t see it the way we do. In fact, Ms. Quinn believes that Obama is indeed comfortable being the most powerful man in the world, and insists that what he said ONLY meant that he regretted we had to be dragged into world conflicts.

You be the judge, but I stand by my gut instinct.

Sarah Palin Speaks at Boston Tea Party (VIDEO)

What a barnburner of a speech, at that! Hat tip the Right Scoop.

Let’s keep that momentum going, folks. We have a lot of work to do, and the Founding Fathers would be proud of us for fighting to defend our freedom.

Herman Cain at the SRLC on The Way Forward for Conservatives (Video)

For those outside of Atlanta, Georgia, get ready for a real treat. Our resident common-sense conservative patriot, Herman Cain, spoke so eloquently at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans. I’ve been listening to Herman Cain on Atlanta’s WSB Radio AM 750 for years now, and he is a strong proponent of the Fair Tax. He’s also the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza. He not only has his own show at 7PM EST on WSB Radio, but when Neal Boortz is out, Herman subs for him.

When the first Fair Tax rally happened in Gwinnett County, GA, Herman’s speech roused the crowd to the point of all of us nearly speaking in tongues. Preach it brother Cain… PREACH IT!

P.S. Listen to the very end of the clip… what do you think about Herman’s comment? I would LOVE it if what I take from it is true. It’s time for all the Intelligent Thinkers Movemtn to unite. And the Fair Tax is really the ONLY way to fix this economy. Please consider and research more on Herman Cain. He’s the real deal. I am so proud he’s a fellow Georgian.

Paul Ryan on Beck’s Radio Show, Discussing Progressivism (VIDEO)

From Beck’s radio show today.

I like Paul Ryan a lot! I think he’ll play a significant role in 2012 politics.
