From This Week on Sunday, we get this surreal assessment of the Tea Party from none other than Nancy Pelosi – the original “astroturfer” proclaimer of this citizen movement. (UPDATE: Video from ABC added.)

She also claims the GOP has hijacked the Tea Party movement – this woman has obviously lost her mind.

i think “hijacked” is not the proper term. the tea party movement is the vocal and more extreme wing of the republican party.

Hmm.. I was there in D.C. on 9/12, Mark, and I didn't see any “extreme” Republicans – only concerned and angry independent citizens, trying to have their voices heard.

i certainly didn't mean it as an insult. what i was trying to say is that when push comes to shove, on election day the tea party members will vote for the republican nominee over the democratic nominee every time. voting for anyone else would only help the democrats, as there is still no viable third party option. it's a shame we are still forced to choose the lesser of two evils.
