Maddow & Barney Frank Discuss Recent SCOTUS Decision (VIDEO)

This was from the Rachel Maddow show on the 24th.

Okay, okay… despite the obvious jokes about this pair that write themselves (including one that just popped in my head regarding the acronym SCOTUS), this was a most delusional segment from MSNBC about the Supreme Court ruling scaling back some of the restrictions of McCain-Feingold.

Liberals are gnashing their teeth, trying to convey that only “evil” corporations will benefit from this recent ruling, but it wasn’t restricted only to right-wing or “obscene” profiteering corporations – the Unions will make out HUGE on this, as well. Why do you think the progressives are going nuts about this? Are they just trying to make political hay about it, or are they just so stupid they don’t realize the beneficiaries of this ruling are on both sides of the political aisle?

I report, you decide. :-)

politicians from both sides of the aisle can now be bought and paid for by corporations. for example, if you are running for office and your platform includes goals that are more costly to a company, these companies are going to run ads against you or run ads in favor of someone that represents the companies best interests. i am not sure why you see this ruling as beneficial to either side or why corporations having more say in our elections is a positive thing. i would think that the teabagger movement would want more transparency in our elections, not corporate funding possibly determining the outcome. would you really want george soros funding liberal candidate's campaigns? i know i wouldn't just as i wouldn't want walmart funding conservative candidates.
