What else can I say? This is the best suggestion I’ve ever heard coming from a member of Congress (and yes, I know Hutchison is a Republican), and it came on Meet the Press this past Sunday. At question were the recent congressional hearings where Timothy Geithner was peppered with questions and at least one call for his resignation.

David Gregory asked Rep. Hutchison if she agreed Geithner should resign, and after a couple of attempts at getting an answer, Hutchison responds that ALL politicians in D.C. should resign, if folks are to be held accountable for the fiscal mess we’re in. Now that’s some bipartisanship!

I like Hutchison, but this is a candid moment from a member of Congress, and I don’t think it’s such a horrible idea. Do you?
