I’m Off-Line For a While… Gone to D.C.

Folks, I’m up WAY too late, but I’m too amped to go to bed even though I should. I’m leaving GA @ 9am to take the North GA 912 Charter Bus to D.C. tomorrow, and will be a tired puppy when I get back early Sunday AM. I will have vids and pictures, but may not post them immediately on Monday. It’s a 10+ hour bus ride, so I’m not sure how productive I’ll be on 9/13.

I know I’ve not posted much from today & yesterday, but I’ve been busy planning this trip, getting things together, packing, etc.

Looking forward to coming back to report from the frontlines in D.C. Also hoping to catch some SEIU or ACORN folks on my video or digital camera. :-)

For those of you who can’t make it, keep the home fires burning and pray for us all as we make our voices heard!

Republican House Rep Kevin Brady of Texas wants an explanation of why the government-run subway system didn’t, in his view, adequately prepare for this past weekend’s rally to protest government spending and government services.

The Texas Republican on Wednesday released a letter saying "These individuals came all the way from Southeast Texas to protest the excessive spending and growing government intrusion by the 111th Congress and the new Obama administration," Brady wrote. "These participants, whose tax dollars were used to create and maintain this public transit system, were frustrated and disappointed that our nation’s capital did not make a great effort to simply provide a basic level of transit for them."

Back in July 2009, HR3288, a Transportation and HUD appropriations bill, came up for a vote. It included $150 million for emergency maintenance funding for the DC Metro.

    Brady voted against it.

    Facepalm.

Pelosi: We Share Some of the Tea Party Views (VIDEO)

March 1, 2010

From This Week on Sunday, we get this surreal assessment of the Tea Party from none other than Nancy Pelosi – the original “astroturfer” proclaimer of this citizen movement. (UPDATE: Video from ABC added.)

She also claims the GOP has hijacked the Tea Party movement – this woman has obviously lost her mind.
