What Happened Over Manhattan Today With the Low-Flying 747 & F16s? More importantly, WHY Did It Happen? (VIDEOS)

This morning there was an incident where a 747 (which turned out to be Air Force One’s backup plane) was flying low over Manhattan, buzzing buildings and the Statue of Liberty. It was accompanied by two F16 fighter jets and scared the bejezus out of everyone. Do you blame them for being afraid?

Now it comes out that the Obama administration approved this bone-headed move. Does he not give two SHI*S about Americans? Especially New Yorkers? Even though 9/11/01 was 8 years ago, it is STILL etched in everyone’s minds, and the fact that this Administration approved this photo-op just shows you how thoughtless this man is.

And like others have said – the blame will be laid at the foot of these pilots, but will fall short of the Administration. Mayor Bloomberg was none too pleased, either. And even Chuck Schumer was outraged!

I’m still incredulous that this even happened. Can you imagine if the FAA would have asked George W. Bush if they could low-fly a 747 over Manhattan? That person would have left the Oval with a boot up his ass! Are you kidding me, Obama??? Are you SERIOUSLY kidding me????

Now here’s Glenn Beck’s take on it.

I don’t think we’ve heard the end of this thing.

Do you ever get the feeling that a bunch of teenagers whose parents are gone away on vacation are having a party in the house? And things are getting broken and destroyed? And the teenager in question has no control? By the way Chuck Schummer has now blamed President Bush for this because of his appointment to head the FAA and it's all their fault! So there!

You should take a look at the "home" video that Debbie Schlussel has posted - it really conveys what a knuckleheaded stunt this was.

Maybe the President will borrow this line from (the still-employed) British Prime Minister Gordon Brown:
"I take full responsibility for what happens, and that's why the person who was responsible [lost his job] immediately."
  • Unreal and unacceptable.
