The 747 Fly-Over Saga Continues – What’s the Story Now?

Yesterday I said there was much more than meets the eye on the fly-over Air Force Once took over lower Manhattan yesterday. Well, the story yesterday was that it was for a photo-op to get new Glamour-shots of AF1. Today? Now we are told it was actually a “training mission.”

Are they seriously kidding us? The “training” cost us taxpayers $328,000+.

I have two questions that I really want answered, and I’m truthful about this. Yes, they may seem rhetorical, but they are serious questions nonetheless:

1. We are trusting an administration who first says they learned of this at the same time we did, then they say it was a photo op, now it was a training mission. How in the hell can we trust this same administration who can’t keep track of possibly the most important airplane for this country? You mean the FAA/Military can just take it out for a spin without the President knowing about it?

WTC Approach

2. If this had been President Bush (or any Republican President, for that matter) on whose watch this happened, would there be this stunned media silence? I mean jebus, folks… The View didn’t even touch this one. I guarantee you if this had been Bush’s Admin who approved it, you couldn’t shut up Joy, the sea cow, Behar if you had the jaws of life to clamp down on her mouth! The View never addressed this? Really? And you hens say you’re “balanced” in views?

Bush would have been excoriated for being “insensitive,” and the conspiracy rumors would be flying. “FEARMONGER!” Why is “fearmongering” okay now with a Dem in the Oval Office, but when Bush was Prez, “fearmongering” was an evil word?

Un-freakin-believable.
