Princeton Professor: Blacks Just Glad Obama’s Not Been Shot At Yet (VIDEO)

Last night on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow show, she had a guest on, Melissa Harris-Lacewell, to talk about Obama’s first 100 days. Harris-Lacewell, an associate professor at Princeton University, said that even though they (blacks) aren’t supposed to really say it out loud, African Americans are just happy that Barack Obama has not been shot at in his first 100 days.

WTF?

Then she goes on to proclaim that most African Americans who have achieved Obama’s level of success typically have violence visited upon them. By whom, she doesn’t say, but I’ll bet it’s that evil whitey! She ends with “So it’s a new day in America that the guy is still giving press conferences 100 days later.”

This was almost as bizarre as a black caller on Michael Medved’s show yesterday, saying he voted for Obama ONLY because he’s black. He said he didn’t care about Barack’s policies or what effect they will have on America, either, just so long as the whites get to suffer.

To further illustrate in mindset, he then told Michael that even though he was sure O.J. killed his wife, he was happy that he was acquitted because it was time for payback to white people.

It’s this mindset, people, that got Obama elected. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

yes, in our country, whites have no history of any racism, discrimination or violence towards blacks and other minorities. read a history book. the civil rights movement happened for a reason – to reverse the unjustified treatment of non-whites, women and others by white men in this country.

can you define these terms in the context of US history?
    slavery
    segregation
    suffrage
    lynching
    bi-racial marriage
    rosa parks
    jim crow laws

they all had one thing in common – white men being extremely wrong. history has proven them to be wrong. being a white american and ignorant of your own race's history is no way to go through life.

but then again, knowing you are a proud member of a political party that is against fair pay for equal work for men & women may be all anyone needs to know about you
