Marcus Luttrell’s Dog Murdered by Punks in Texas (VIDEO)

Today on Glenn Beck’s show, he had former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell on to talk about what happened to him last week. You see it seems some dumb-ass punks were driving the Texas countryside, summarily executing dogs.

What’s that saying about a “special place….?”

Marcus was at home, it was late at night and he was awake. He heard a gunshot outside, told his mom to stay inside, and when he went outside he saw a group of punks standing around his yellow lab named “Dasy,” lying dead in the ditch. These punks had shot Dasy with a .357 and killed her. Dasy was very special to Marcus, because she served not only as his therapy dog, but her very name was an acronym for the members of his SEAL team who fought and died in Afghanistan – Danny, Axe, Southern Boy (Marcus) and Yankee.

Marcus chased these punks over four counties, and he nearly shot the driver. Finally the Rangers caught up with these punks in Huntsville, TX and the idiots in handcuffs were laughing about it. They said they would also kill Marcus. Do these douchebags not know about Marcus?

Dickhead Alfonso Hernandez was charged with Cruelty to Animals and is facing up to two years in prison, and dickhead #2, Michael Edmonds, is currently on the run.

Mr. Beck, I am an animal lover and a WWII vet's daughter, and am appalled on so many levels after this article. Thank you for realizing its importance and doing something about it. Marcus, I thank you for your service and sacrifice and pray for your continued recovery. Dasy, I love you too for your healing life with Marcus and know you will nudge him towards his new angel when the time and animal is right. Michael Edmunds, do you realize yet that you need help if you think punks shooting ANY animals for fun is cool? Please get help NOW before you become even worse - its your lack of self-esteem and baseline immorality that allow you to do idiotic stunts like you did. Those thugs are not your hommies, they are not your friends and they are not real men who you need to look up to. And finally, 'Bama, why don't you let out the old stoners still in jail from the '70's & '80's so there is room for today's criminals if you won't put up the funds to deal with our systems needs? I understand thanks be to God that he lived to tell the tale, which serves as an inspiration on an even wider front than the one he is kicking ass in. I would never expect these men to have to have to hold themselves to a higher standard, given what they are trained to do. They do it anyway. I'm late to this particular conversation, but nothing would educate and serve to correct these punks shortsightedness than, assuming they possess the ability to read, to each tackle a book report over "Lone Survivor." I just want to tell Mr. Lutrell how horrified I was by Dasy's story. Tears come to my eyes when I think of it. My love and prayers go out to him, along with gratitude for his service.
I was just reading an ASPCA brochure about dogs and I thought of Dasy and wondered if he would ever be ready to invite another puppy into his heart. Dasy 2? All America would rejoice.... I lost my precious 4 cats 2 years ago (all died of old age during an awful 10 months)and am just beginning to feel as if I could welcome another cat into my home. Hope you read this, love Ellen

I feel terrible about this, but the truth of the matter there are assholes like this all over the US. In some ways many people in the US are worse than the Taliban or others who we dare not mention. I truely feel bad that people like this has to act the way they do and take something special away from those who served this country. As someone who also had their dog murdered, my heart goes out to Marcus.
My boy Rebel was killed by our "neighbor". He shot Rebel and Rex ... two brothers, born the night of my mothers funeral. Rebel died in my arms, Rex costing over $1,200.00 in vet bills, but thankfully survived. This jerk almost shot me and did shoot my house and the sheriff's dept. in our country never even talked to this guy! They refused to enforce the two laws on the books that pertained. Rex had been shot two months before this incident and I KNOW it was the same guy but didn't witness it.
Law makers and enforcement have got to crack down on people who abuse, torture, and MURDER animals. They will move on to doing the same to people.
My heart goes out to Mr. Luttrell because he had survived so much and this baby girl meant so much to him. It takes a purely evil person to callously, cold-blooded shoot down an animal. Especially one as tame, sweet and innocent as Dasy. Makes me sick.
I hope and pray that he gets justice for his girl. I can't believe how calmly and collected he stayed thru the process and didn't blow these guys away. He has my deepest respect for all he's been thru.

Norma, I don’t know where you live, but it’s against the law to shoot a dog, cat or any other domestic animal (pet). Go to the police station and file a complaint against the person that shot your dog. I hope he gets his because it takes a truly evil person to kill without reason. Mr. Marcus Luttrell, I'm a law enforcement officer that was injuried in the line of duty. I was actually ran over by a suspect I was trying to save from comitting suicide. I was left to die, but survived. The suspect was later captured arrested and eventually had a slick lawyer, who got the suspect out of any jail time. I was left with a crushed leg and endured major surgery and a long period of recoverly. My sister realized that I needed some help with my mental recoverly also and gave me a black lab puppy that she had found, that had been abandoned. I could have not asked for better friend to help me recover. We recovered together. My black lab is now 8 years old and I don't know what I would have done (or do now), if some lowlife murdered my buddy. You showed great restraint in not shooting these idiots, but I can feel you in a simlular way and hope they all get jail time and find out what is like to lose the freedom, you were fighting for as a Navy SEAL. I learned to walk again, but had to take another job as I couldn't do law enforcement anymore, but at least I'm alive to be able to have another job. I hope you can find a way to heal again and maybe through another loved "man's best friend". There's no excuse in the world for what these guys did and I hope they pay a price for it. Just heard on Beck that one of the punks is looking for a plea bargain already! What a coward! Or perhaps with all the publicity the ass wipe just found out he messed with the wrong Navy Seal? I hope the DA has a spine and does not plea deal this out and throws the book at both of them. And if these punks killed other pets the sentences should run concurrent so they spend the maximum time getting their holes reamed in prison! The life time probation so they can have their gutless asses thrown back in jail every time they spit on the side walk. Michael Edmonds will be found. As long as the public applies pressure to have both Michael and Alfonso serve the maximum time in prison, they will be dealt with appropriately in prison. Once their fellow inmates know what they are charged with, they will be treated just like child abusers in prison. Though they may survive the stay, they will be incontinent for the rest of their lives. They will never sneak around in the dark again because you will always be able to smell them. Personally, I am disappointed that Marcus did not shot them. He deserved the satisfaction and he could have protected society from these dirt bags forever.

I heard this on the scanner in Polk County, TX. These guys went further than your report stated driving at speeds well over 100 mph. Through winding, dark country roads and over a very long causeway. These bastards not only killed this hero's friend they also endangered everyone in the path for many, many miles. As well as law enforcement officers from Walker, San Jancinto and Polk Counties.

I just finished reading Lone Survivor this week. I am also a veteran of the War on Terrorism (OIF 2). Hearing about this sickens me. These little maggots aren't fit to be treated like humans. They don't have the guts to go where Marcus Luttrell went and wouldn't last in training much less combat. It speaks well of his fiber that he didn't make their heads into ash trays. For that I commend Mr. Luttrell and my admiration for him grows. My heart goes out to him as well. One of my fondest memories was seeing my dog when I returned home from my tour. It saddens me to learn of this horror. I only hope they are repaid in kind for their cowardice. Marcus showed mercy on them, he is a true warrior and hero. God bless him and his family as he recovers.
