Morning Joe Rips Into Glenn Beck – For Being Emotional (VIDEO)

This morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show, they were doing their “must-read op-ed” segment, and Willie Geist had an “offering” of his own, although not an op-ed. It was actually based on a page one New York Times piece yesterday on Glenn Beck and his popularity.

Tina Brown of The Daily Beast watched with the rest of the group as Willie played a mash-up of clips of Glenn Beck getting emotional on the air; mostly from his “The 912 Project” show from March 13th.

What ensued during and after that was truly shameful, and it just demonstrates to me why the mainstream media (and MSNBC) don’t “get it” about the American people. It is okay to show your feelings and emote. Stupid eurotrash, Tina Brown, said Roger Ailes was “kind of a genius” for finding and creating all these “monsters” like Beck, Limbaugh, etc.

Excuse me, Ms. Brown? And you are who?

And Joe Scarborough was practically crying himself, but it wasn’t out of sadness – he was cracking up laughing, although he tried to say he was not laughing at Beck, but was laughing at a joke someone sent him on his Blackberry. Uh-huh.

You guys just go ahead and yuck it up, keep your measly thousands of viewers while Glenn keeps climbing in the ratings with his MILLIONS! And Tina, don’t flatter yourself. We don’t give one flip what the Queen would think about Glenn Beck.

A P.S. from me… how do you all feel about writing an email or two to MSNBC? Here’s their address. Tell them how much THEY are the fakers and out-of-touch with WE THE PEOPLE!!!

Here’s the link to email the Morning Joe show.

"The war in Iraq is lost".

Are there any adults who read this blog who can tell me who said this?

And are there any adults who CAN read and, I daresay, who have been following my little discussion, who can tell me at what point I have defended the Republican Party?

    Anyone?
  • Well said MsUnderestimated. These clowns make fun of it because they don't understand it.

The ratings have exploded since the election yo-yo, because we are sick of your bull. When you guys grow up, and quit hating patriots as much as you love the radical left, you might just get some ratings again.

Tina wants to talk blubbering buffoons? Lol!

Get useful idiot Meghan McCain another dozen apple fritters because she Still can't find her niche.

i remember when howard dean "emoted" and his scream was the republican punchline of all punchlines. while his nomination crashed and burned soon after, Dean got his revenge by heading up the 50 state strategy that destroyed the republicans in the 2008 election. let's see if beck can turn his weeping and crying into something more than the phrase "we surround them", which has become a hysterically funny punchline to everyone but his viewers.
  • Lobogris
Dean was destroyed by Democrats. The Republicans did it to themselves because they're stupid.

As Beck's viewership and ratings go up, you can stick your fingers in your ears, close your eyes, and continue to say "lalalalalalalalalalala" all you want. It doesn't change anything.
  • mark
you are correct, it doesn't change anything. democrats have historic majorities in both the house and senate, coleman has run out of appeals and the president has amazingly high approval ratings. oh plus, the 2010 senate elections are coming up real fast and republicans are actually LESS popular than they were in November.

and you have a populist with high ratings.

    congratulations.
  • Lobogris
That was a good answer . Republican officials are less popular. That's because people are finally starting to realize that these "elected officials" are there only for themselves. That goes for BOTH parties. Your messiah is only driving that point home. I am so enjoying the pain your messiah is causing friends and family who voted for "Change". But that's just because I'm spiteful.

Oh, and don't congratulate me. I didn't vote for Obama.
  • mark
i congratulated you on beck's high ratings, as republicans have nothing else to be congratulated about politically.

i know facts aren't liked around here, but here they are:

As far as obama's approval ratings, a higher percentage of people approve of him after 60 days than the percentage of people who voted for him.

I have to disagree with you that people are unhappy with both parties equally and the last two elections are my proof. also, since november, democratic congressional approval ratings are higher, republican approval ratings are lower.

basically, you better be hoping the pain continues for your family and friends (I could never be hoping for that myself) because if the economy improves within 2-3 years, it is probably the end of the republican party as anything more than a southern bible belt party.
  • Lobogris
Went right over your head, didn't it. Or did it? We'll see.

As far as the economy goes and what your precious media has been shoving down our throats...have you sacrificed any cows lately?

You forget. How convenient. A MAJORITY. A VERY LARGE majority of Americans didn't want the government messing with the economy. Now, because of "Hope and Change", I can look forward to higher taxes. On higher priced goods. All the while "hoping" that my company doesn't go under because they are paying higher taxes on higher priced goods. This is what is coming. THESE are the numbers that matter. And as bad as this hurts me, I can, and will, laugh at the pain of the people who brought this on themselves. Like I said, don't congratulate me, I didn't vote for Obama.
  • mark
I am not sure any group has been more wrong in their predictions than the republicans. some examples-

we will find the wmds. bush.
we will be greeted as liberators. cheney.
we have the numbers. rove pre-2006 election
the war will cost 20 billion. wolfowitz
the war will pay for itself. ari f.
we should privitize social security and invest it in the stock market. all republicans.

i will just stop there but your propensity for making predictions and being dead wrong is why you are a laughing stock of a political party.

again, these are just facts, nothing personal.
