Beck on Obama’s Cheap Gift to British PM Gordon Brown (VIDEO)

When British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, came to the U.S., the custom of exchanging culture-specific and near-heirloom quality gifts became a joke on the American people. Gordon Brown came bearing the following gifts for Barack Obama:

“The unique present delighted Mr Obama because oak from the Gannet’s sister ship, HMS Resolute, was carved to make a desk that has sat in the Oval Office in the White House since 1880.

Mr Brown also handed over a framed commission for HMS Resolute and a first edition of the seven-volume biography of Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert.

In addition, Mr Brown and his wife showered gifts on the Obama children giving Sasha and Malia an outfit each from Topshop and six children’s books by British authors which are shortly to be published in America.”

What did douchebag Obama give in return? A classless, juvenile “gift” of a 25-DVD set of American movie classics. I could have gone to Amazon, Blockbuster, or any other site to do this, and it just explains the Obama mindset.

Oh, and the most ridiculous part? The movies given to PM Brown were not even ones that could be played in Great Britain. You see, Barack is so retarded that he thought he could call up his local Blockbuster or online-order the set on Amazon without even thinking about the difference in formats between American DVD and British DVDs. Do you think Barry really gives a shit? I know he doesn’t.

And don’t even GET me started on Michelle giving Mrs. Brown two “Marine 1″ helicopter models to give their sons as toys. As Beck’s guest, Nile Gardiner, suggests, this is AMATEUR HOUR in the White House! Carelessness or intended insult to the Browns and Britain, it really doesn’t matter. The damage has been done, and Barack remains the clueless brat on the playground saying “I got all the toys and you can’t have any…unless I say so.”

What a juvenile, infantile, classless, arrogant prick, lack-of-grace this administration has shown! I am following Glenn’s example/suggestion that we ALL write the British Embassy in America to apologize for Barack’s callousness! In case you don’t capture it in the video, you can write the British Embassy at the address here, and tell them “hey, we LOVE you Britains, and we totally respect you.”

Glenn said we should tell them “we don’t think you suck,” but said we could put it in more flowery words. I agree, but the idea is the same.

Here is the address to write:

British Embassy
3100 Massachusetts Avenue N.W.
Washington, DC 20008

Check my blog for a form document to download and mail. Sure, this is not an email response, but certainly you can spare .47 to send the Brits an email that we are embarrassed at Obama’s shameful treatment of Gordon Brown.

He does NOT speak for the rest of us patriots. By the way, check out the list of gifts given to Bush and American dignitaries in 2006 – I don’t see a DVD movie set anywhere.

Wow. I'm embarrassed! I love the Brits. This idiot administration has NO class at all.

Man, Glenn Beck is a retard. On the one hand he calls himself a fiscal conservative, and on the other he supports this lame tradition of handing out multi-thousand dollar gifts with US tax dollars to foreign nationals like it's f'ing Christmas. Get your act together! My tax dollars should NOT be buying pricey gifts for ANYONE, nor should British tax dollars, for that matter.

    • MsUnderestimated

P.P.S., Martin. Obama didn't seem to mind spending millions of dollars on his Inaugural Balls, did he?

  • MsUnderestimated

Martin, you are the retard. There are some things that are just tradition. Don't know if you're married or not, but do you not get your wife a gift for your anniversary just because you're a “fiscal conservative?”

    You are SUCH a loser.

tradition is overrated. an inadequate gift is worthy of your attention? egads, you truly are adrift. focus, conservatives, focus! you have been forced out of all positions of leadership in this country due to your failures. you are being held accountable. you think that wrapping yourself in the flag, name calling, finger pointing, and claiming that God is on your side is enough but it's not anymore. People see right through you and you have rightly been removed from the decision making policy.

the rest of the country just wants you to own up to your failures, admit where you went wrong, correct the past and work with the rest of us to fix the future.

Your plans of more war, more tax cuts for the rich, the destruction of the middle class, rejection of science and dismantling of our constitution has been soundly rejected.

    these are facts.

Mark, what in the hell is your obsession with this blog? You hate everything about my views, and you hate everything/everyone that is a Conservative or a Republican. Why do you continue to waste your time here.

I had told you in the past I would make one of your comments a post and refute you point by point, but by the time I got home from work, you had already posited so much other smarmy childish bullshit comments to other posts that I decided you weren't worth my time.

      Go away already, will you?

i am fascinated by how much you don't get it. . i have friends who are conservatives and we have spirited political conversations without ever offending each other. we exchange ideas and viewpoints. i learn from them and they learn from me.

let's try a new approach. i am calling you out on your own blog.

tell me what the republicans did wrong from 2000-08. just a list. no need for massive explanations. no excuses. i'll even give you a few to start

    1. you expanded the size of the government to the largest ever.
    2. you created the largest deficit in the history of our government.
    3. you started a war based on faulty intelligence. the estimated cost was going to be 20 billion, we would be greeted as liberators. cost is over one trillion dollars of tax payer money.

    ok, your turn.

On Wednesday March 4, while the same Gordon Brown was visiting, Glenn Beck himself ran a segment of his show featuring Brown as a “Comrade” tinpot dictator mouthing socialist platitudes:

Beck: Comrades! There is good news from the Western Front. Our glorious revolution is starting to take hold on a global scale. Just listen as Comrade Brown pounded our propaganda into the minds of the clueless capitalist pigs today. Listen up.

Brown: We should seize this moment. Because never before have I seen a world willing to come together so much. Never before has that been so needed. And never before have the benefits of cooperation been so far-reaching.

Beck: Ah, if we could just have the globe all together! Oh ho! How right he is!

When Beck blatently insults him, it's ignored.
When you perceive Obama has insulted him, you are ranting and encouraging people writing to apologize.

from one adult to another, please explain yourselves.

Thank you for the article and the address to the British Embassy, I composed and mailed this registed to the British Embassy.

To the People of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,

It is with regret and embarrassment to hear of the “gift” (meaning the DVD’s) Mr. Obama has given to your Prime Minister Gordon Brown upon his arrival here in the United States.

The gift was wholly inappropriate and an embarrassment to me as an American.

Please accept the apologies of myself and my family.

I am reading the book, “John Adams” by David McCullough and have come to learn that John Adams was our first ambassador to Great Britain, and this is part of what Ambassador Adams said to King George III at their first meeting in 1785.

“I think myself more fortunate than all my fellow-citizens, in having the distinguished honor to be the first to stand in your Majesty’s royal presence in a diplomatic character; and I shall esteem my self the happiest of men if I can be instrumental in recommending my country more and more to your Majesty’s royal benevolence, and of restoring an entire esteem, confidence, and affection, or, in better words, the old good nature and the old good humor between people who, though separated by an ocean and under different governments, have the same language, a similar religion, and kindred blood.”

Although a few years have passed since Mr. Adams said these words, I believe that “the old good nature and the old good humor” still exist between our peoples despite the blunders of those currently in office.

    Sincerely,

James D. ******** and family (note: blocked out my name in this post because of weirdos)
