The View Goes Overboard On NY Post Editorial Cartoon (VIDEO)

Today on The View, the hens went full-force on the NY Post editorial cartoonist, Sean Delonis, which portrayed two cops standing over a chimpanzee which has been obviously shot fatally, while the caption reads “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”

Now, clearly EVERYBODY knows that Obama only signed the bill. The bill was written by Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid, but oh, no, The View bitches had to immediately infer that the chimp in the cartoon was Obama. Everyone on the panel took great pains to exhibit their self-righteous indignation, with calls of blatant racism, blah, blah, and more blah.

The only one that said one thing I agree with was Joy (shock!), and that was all Americans enjoy TOTAL free speech. Elisabeth was even out-to-lunch on this one, too, shilling for the politically-correct loons in this country.

I just say, give it a rest, everyone. And for the comediennes (Joy, Whoopi & Sherri) on the panel: cartoons are not ALWAYS meant to be funny – that’s the precise nature of editorial cartoons, which this selection by cartoonist Delonas was. An editorial cartoon – meant to be illustrative of one’s perceptions of another political group; not humorous to all.

FRIDAY - The New York Post is apologizing for a cartoon that critics say links President Barack Obama to a raging chimpanzee shot dead by police in Connecticut. After two days of protests, the paper posted an editorial on its Web site Thursday saying the cartoon was meant to mock the federal economic stimulus bill, but "to those who were offended by the image, we apologize."

now, be adults, and accept the fact that at a minimum, it was in extremely poor taste.

seriously, your blog needs to be preserved in the history books in the section of "how the republican party faded into obscurity" you are beyond out of touch with the reality of how our nation is changing.

the cartoon wasn't funny but it's not even in his top ten most offensive cartoons he has made over the years. free speech is protected, just as the right to protest is. the only people defending the cartoon are the 25%ers. everyone else agrees it's unfunny and offensive, regardless of whether racism was the intent.

since when do republicans know anything about comedy? name one funny republican comedian. dennis miller was funny before he drank the koolaid and look what he does now to pay the bills. he's not cracking jokes. dennis miller has the career timing of the band who booked a weeklong gig on the maiden voyage of the titanic. i heard one of his old routines on the satellite radio the other day that was all about how full of rednecks the southern states are or as he calls them now, his listeners.
