The Republican version of the stimulus bill contained 100% tax cuts and no spending. Within the past 24 hours, the line of Republicans who voted AGAINST THE OBAMA BILL seem to be quite happy with the funds being directed towards their districts as a result of it passing.

Remember folks, if their version of the bill had passed, no stimulus money would be given to their districts. So how do you explain the recent public statements from the following?

Missouri Republican Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, MO-09
California Republican Ken Calvert
Sen. Christopher "Kit" Bond, Republican of Missouri
Republican Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.)

You can expect lots more Republicans to make statements about how much this money helps the citizens they represent.

ironic, no?
