…And the Tax Cheats Just Keep On Comin’

Folks, I wrote about this two Sundays ago, when nobody else thought what Bob Woodward said on Chris Matthews’ show was even noteworthy. Hell, it must have struck some chord, considering a contributor at the Huffington Post ripped off my piece (imitation, in this case, is not a form of flattery; not when done by a HuffPoster).

All of this news this week, and today especially since Tom Daschle stepped down, merely makes me wonder how much more of this is coming. Timothy Geithner got away with it, and it appeared Daschle was going to, as well, but I guess the pressure was just too much. Is it any wonder why the Obama team keeps trying to rush this crap-sandwich big-government spending bill down our throats? They think if they can just get it through quickly, they won’t be damaged by any more bad news. But again I have to wonder: What did Bob Woodward know and how much MORE does he know? I’m anxiously awaiting.

A reminder of what was said on the Matthews’ show:

…Then Chris asked the panel about the troubles the Obama Administration might encounter, and Woodward again caught my attention. He said he didn’t think the “nanny and household tax problems” were over for this administration. Chris remarked that we already know about Tim Geithner and Caroline Kennedy, to which Woodward responded by reiterating: “I say it’s not over.”

Talk about food for thought! Woodward is an investigative journalist, isn’t he? And the cryptic way in which he spoke those words just makes me wonder what else is coming down the pike.

As most news aggregators put it: “Developing…”
