the way i see it, bush didn't issue any pardons because he believes no laws were broken. fair enough. let's open an investigation, let them look at the evidence and either charge them or not charge them. maybe they are innocent, maybe they are not- i have an open mind. even if they are all cleared, i would love to see the process of how they took the intelligence and made the case for war when in hindsight, the facts didn't lead to the same conclusion bush and cheney claimed. not only that but once the war had happened what other laws were broken?

you have to admit, bush's advisors were smart- appoint cronies to the key positions and no investigations can happen. ignore subpeonas, ignore sternly worded letters, etc. the facts are that his legal stance has weakened our justice system at the executive level.

in the greatest democracy in the world, do people get punished for breaking the laws? do people get fair trials? if you want to end bush derangement syndrome, let the investigation begin.
