Matthews: New Commander in Chief Impressed Many in the Military (VIDEO)

…by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Yeah, THAT’S impressive. I think Matthews is a bit presumptive if he thinks that one act impressed “many in the military.” Not likely. I, for one, will wait until I hear that sentiment from the military itself. A thrill only went down your leg, Chrissy…

Bob Woodward’s Curious Words on Chris Matthews’ Show (VIDEO)

Today on NBC’s Chris Matthews’ show, Bob Woodward was one of the guests on the panel, and during the standard Q&A between Chris and the panelists, a couple of curious things came out of Woodward’s mouth.

The first thing that caught my attention was when Chris played a segment of the inauguration where Obama said we “must begin again the work of remaking America.” Woodward began his comments by reminding us of the “if you will unclench the fist, we will extend the hand.” He says it’s obvious the big difference between Obama and Bush & Cheney is that Obama is for diplomacy, but if you get right down to it, Bush and Cheney “didn’t really like diplomacy.”

Next, Chris asked the panel about the troubles the Obama Administration might encounter, and Woodward again caught my attention. He said he didn’t think the “nanny and household tax problems” were over for this administration. Chris remarked that we already know about Tim Geithner and Caroline Kennedy, to which Woodward responded by reiterating: “I say it’s not over.”

Hmmm… I wonder what he could mean?

‘Lie To Me’ – You Lost Me With the Politics (VIDEO)

When will Hollywood get it? I had DVR’d this show from last week, the premiere episode, in hopes that it would be a good one to watch. It is, after all, brought to us by the same producers of “24.”

As soon as politics is brought in to a TV show, I lose interest. And don’t give me this “well, conservative politics are brought in to XYZ show,” because that’s just bullshit. Liberal producers love to show their progressive Hollywood chops, and this case is no different. I won’t be watching this show ever…it goes in my “do not watch” bin along with all the “Law & Order” shows. They have all slid down the liberal ladder of alleged enlightened entertainment, and Law & Order especially likes to slam the former Bush Administration, along with conservative values and capitalism.

I’ve had enough of the preaching about what’s wrong with America, and about how this country will be so much better under Barack Obama. Leave your political views out of our escapist TV shows and you’ll do just fine. If not, record numbers of folks will tune you out.

Geraldo Vs. Glenn Beck on Gitmo (VIDEO)

Okay so this wasn’t the brawl that I thought it would be, but Glenn made some damn good points. Geraldo, a usual, comes off as the pompous, holier-than-thou, liberal bedwetting windbag that he is. Now we know that Glenn has already made a plea to find out who among us wants a federal detention center built in our communities to house these detainees. Remember, it was Geraldo that said communities would LOVE this “economic infusion.” Yeah, right.

Let’s not forget that a detainee released last year has wound up as Al Qaeda’s #2 man in Yemen, and today we learn that two Gitmo detainees that were released have now appeared in an Al Qaeda propaganda recruitment video.

Finally, Geraldo takes a cue from Glenn and he himself asks his own viewers to write him if they would like this new prison in their town. Everybody ready to write? Let’s get to it. Write Glenn Beck here, and write Geraldo here. Let them know how you feel!
