Marine K-9 Hero Lex Comes Home (VIDEO)
Marine K-9 Cpl. Dustin Lee, formed a very tight bond with his partner, Lex. Last month, Dustin was killed by an insurgent’s RPG, and Lex was injured. Lee’s parents asked the Marine Corps. if they could adopt their son’s dog. They found out that the bond was so tight with their son, Lex had to be drug away from Dustin’s side after his death. Finally the Marine Corps. decided it was a good thing to do. Although he had an estimated 2 years left in his explosives detection career, they let Lex come home to his partner’s family. In Albany, Georgia the ceremony was held, and Lex was given to the Lee family to be their lifelong faithful companion – just as their son would now be in spirit.
