To all my friends and family out there, here’s wishing you a very Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2008.

Hang in there, because 2008 is going to be a wild ride, but also a very significant time for this nation. God bless us all.

I thought I’d seen it all…..but nooooooo…. check this one out.
Since when does this overtly flawed logic make sense? No wonder I’ve never heard of this ‘cartoonist’ before. “Big Fat Whale?” Yup… not in my Sunday paper.
Where is the Christian outrage? Why aren’t Christians rioting in the streets, burning cars, throwing rocks at police, burning flags, threatening to kill this obviously atheist comic? Oh yeah, that’s right. Christians are tolerant. Sorry…my bad.

I know this person isn’t as bad as Ted Rall, but sheesh! What’s up with this Christian-phobia? I don’t find this ‘comic’ funny at all.
Fred Thompson was on H&C tonight, and I thought this was one of his best performances ever. Perhaps it was because it was off-the-cuff and not scripted. Whichever it is, I liked it. I’m leaning more towards Fred than I was comfortable doing so before. In this case, Fred is not at a loss for immediate answers, and that’s what we need in a leader in these consequential times.

He’s a plain-spoken man, and I like that. There’s something to be said for laid-back genuineness.
You can either watch the flash video above, or download the .wmv video here. (My apologies, the flash video I had above wasn’t working.)
No words are necessary for what happened to Benazir Bhutto today in Pakistan. Today from my favorite political cartoonist, Michael Ramirez.

No saint herself, but she was a significant political figure in the region. The GWOT rages on.
