Danny Glover and the ‘Chavistas’ (VIDEO)

Tonight on H&C, former Ms. Venezuela and actress Maria Conchita Alonso was on the show to speak out against the un-holy alliance of late with Hugo Chavez and Danny Glover. Alonso says that the $18M figure in recent media reports is too modest, and that the amount is more like $30M to produce anti-capitalist, anti-Western-civilization movies. Of course, Glover is taking the red-meat bait and is going to make the movies. Maria Conchita is asking publicly to speak to Glover to see if she can convince him of the lies he’s being fed.

Will Glover reach out to her and listen to her learned voice? Doubt it. But since when has any Hollyweird liberal ever been prone to hearing the truth?

    Or I suppose you could just not watch them. That would be a capitalistic way of dealing with it and is probably how you dealt with other such movies like Fahrenheit 911, An Inconvenient Truth, etc.

    Should we give another $65million to the Bush Administration geniuses at the link in my comment above and they could distract everyone by broadcasting 1 hour anti-Israel tirades? Imagine the howling among you guys if Clinton or a “democrat” had done something so incredibly stupid & incompetent…

    By the way, I like the cut-and-run you did in our previous exchange where you tried comparing the Iraq Occupation to our occupations of Germany, Japan, Korea (countries where the wars actually ended) instead of the more accurate analogy to Vietnam (where we were propping up a government that would have collapsed without us and where the people of that country never stopped shooting at us).

    Would you care to address it or are you just going to cut and run by making juvenile comments about movies you (probably) never even saw? Hopefully you won’t just whine to Ms. Underestimated like a big right-wing baby.

    For starters LTCPMax was using a little thing called SARCASM! And to be honest, I have not seen either movie, but I do have in my DVD collection Farenhype 9/11–just to see how libs wet their pants at the truth!

    What about the President revealing his troop surge to the enemy?

    wouldn’t it have been smarter to keep it all a secret and then, when the insurgents & terrorist least suspected it, the additional troops could have overwhelmed them all with massive force?

    The war supporters always complain about “giving away our battleplan” but they sure looked like they were giving it away to me. What do you think?

    Imagine if he kept it all a secret and the goddamn liberal press wasn’t reporting how our tax dollars are being spent. Our victorious troops could have marched thru the streets of Baghdad and had rose petals strewn at their feet by grateful Iraqis! They could rename Baghdad Int’l Airport, George Bush Int’l Airport and the President could finally make an *announced* trip over there and go out for a photo op with all of the people he liberated. It would be, like, AWESOME!

    College Republicans could finally go over to Iraq and maybe even spend their spring breaks there basking in the glory of the freedom and beer.

    I can’t believe Bush blew the opportunity to achieve all of this simply by revealing the troop surge to our enemy. What an incompetent traitor.

    Still not incompetent enough for you? Let me repeat what happened: Al Hurra was broadcasting 1 hour anti-Israel tirades in the Middle East under their watch. Is that not serious to you or do you hate Israel? It must be one or the other. Should someone not named Bill Clinton be held accountable?

    Regarding Chavez, I don’t recall him calling for the destruction of our government. do you have any evidence/links to back up your assertion? That would be serious if true, but I don’t think he has what it takes (nukes, army that can get to the US, Naval forces, air force, etc.) to destroy us even if he said so. If he sided with a Muslim Terrorist (Iran?), should we also start targeting other countries that deal with Iran, like China, Japan, Russia, etc.? If you don’t want to watch a Chavez-created propaganda movie, don’t watch it, problem solved. Whew, that was easy.
