Marine RJ Mitchell, American Hero (VIDEO)
I know I haven’t posted lately, but I simply refuse to give the three individuals who have flooded the news lately any more publicity, nor do I want to give that non-story any more lip-service. I’d rather devote my time and your attention to people truly worthy of note. In Fox News’ latest True American Hero segment, USMC R.J. Mitchell (Ret.) is the focus for Trace Gallagher.

Mitchell and his fellow Marines of the 1st Division, Kilo Company fought in Operation Phantom Fury, a battle in Fallujah in 2004, and one of the fiercest fights he’d ever been in was in a place they’d come to know and call “The Hell House.” Mitchell and his team were trying to clear the house of insurgents, and 5 of his Marines were trapped inside by enemy fire. They rushed into the “shooting gallery,” and Mitchell spotted an injured Marine, all the while taking full automatic fire.

Mitchell wound up saving at least three lives, and he was awared the Navy Cross. This is truly an American Hero.
