Republicans’ Gay Obsession With Reagan? (VIDEO)

During Maher’s panel tonight, the focus of the conversation was shifted by Maher to the Republicans’ ‘gay obsession with Ronald Reagan.’ WTF is he talking about? Oh, yeah, and get this; Maher has a news flash for us. Reagan did NOT win the Cold War! You’ve GOT to be kidding me, right? And per Roseanne, Reagan nearly completely wiped out the working class, and George W. Bush is just continuing in his legacy. Yeah, right.

Roseanne Barr is just abdominable. Her lack of political, world, war, history, and government acumen is both laughable and perfect for Maher’s depth of conversation/debate. Painful to watch. My friend Noel Sheppard at Newsbusters will provide further rebuttals on his blog for this one, as well. I’m going to let him do that because he’s good at it. I try to but I just wind up getting PO’d, but my doc said to watch my blood pressure.

    And then they cry about Ann Coulter saying that she CAN'T say Edwards is a faggot or she'd have to go into rehab.

    I have long held that Maher tries (so very hard) to straddle the line between comedy and politics and he does neither well.

    As far as Reagan winning the Cold War… he didn't.

    The Cold War never happened… like the Holocaust, the Moon Landing, and the Philip Morris buyout of Nabisco… the Cold War was just right wing propaganda to keep the masses in check.
