“Failure”: in business, a venture or commercial enterprise is said to be a FAILURE when it is unable to sell it’s product or service, or unable to establish and sustain revenues sufficient to cover expenses. Example, a talk radio network that cannot find enough sponsors willing to pay to advertise to their demographic (audience) to cover their overhead, then the network would be said to have FAILED.

I don’t know where you get that Air America is a failure. Just because they can’t get the piggy right wing corporations to advertise doesn’t mean their message is less.
