Taliban Missed Opportunity – “It Makes Us Look Dumb” (VIDEO)
I agree with Jane Hall from Fox News Watch yesterday, when she refers to the recently released picture of a tight group of Taliban attending a funeral, and our bureaucracy wouldn’t allow us to take them out. Jane said “it makes us look dumb.” I concur.

A bit later on, Jim Pinkerton loses his conservative mind momentarily and brings up the Geneva Convention. You know, that pesky little treaty of which the Taliban nor Al Qaeda are a part? Well, Cal Thomas set Jim straight on this one.
Cal: I don’t see any of these beheaders saying, ‘you know, because of the Geneva convention, I’m going to cut off fewer heads.’ I don’t think there’s a relationship (between this missed opportunity and the Geneva Convention).
Jim: Under the Geneva Convention, if you cut off someone’s head you can be punished.
Cal: Pshhh…
Jim: If you eliminate the Geneva Convention, then how can you punish someone?
Cal: This picture we just saw is the perfect opportunity to punish them and we didn’t!
Bravo Cal! I was actually surprised by Jim’s response in this manner, but at least even liberal Jane came to balance on this one. We did look dumb. And weak. And that’s very dangerous for all of us.
