ABC’s Nightline tonight after “Path to 9/11″ was a sham and a cover-up for the Clinton administration. What a load of crap! Is this another way ABC bowed to the Clinton’s legal team? Richard Clarke, shoving everything off onto George Tenet, for all the screwups that happened. Can you say “scattered, smothered and covered” alibis? Richard Clarke had the POWER to order Tenet to strike and he did not. He apparently has/had no balls, but that is a surprise to whom?

What an asshat. Richard Clarke’s hindsight is blind. In this segment, they all try to shift the blame to President Bush; both ABC and the Clintonistas interviewed.

God help us if the Democrats ever get back in power. What a bunch of limp-wristed losers. Richard Clarke comes across as the wuss he is. I was so outraged that I couldn’t even bring myself to transcribe this, but wait until you hear Clarke talking about “difficult decisions.” What difficult decisions? You either authorize the taking out of UBL or not, regarless of the “collateral damage” around him!

Should we sacrifice 3,000+ of our own people for some women and children at the camp where Bin Laden was? I know that sounds cruel and heartless, but damnit people, this is the United States, and we have to watch out for ourselves! I don’t give a damn if you lambast me, so go ahead…give it your best shot. But given the opportunity to choose taking out those “innocent” in Afghanistan versus losing Americans, I choose the former. What about you?

    Wait. I have an idea. Why don’t they start inventing stories and make fake photographs to hurt Bush’s leadership in the WoT. Or, how about they could publish details about secret government programs to try to capture terrorists thereby undermining Bush’s efforts to protect the American people. Or, how about hindering the gathering of intelligence from POWs by claiming they torture the poor, innocent, helpless terrorists in “concentration camps” (important to use that phrase because it carries and implication of the nazis in WW2).

    Man that would be great. There’s just too much love for the President from the MSM today.

    I too have friends in Iraq. One came home a few months back and gave plenty of examples of how the media is lying to the American people about the conditions of the war in Iraq. Its a hell of a lot worse than we're being told. Al Qaeda? "What Al Qaeda?" They're there but not the threat Bullhorn George would have you believe. The Sectarian violence is the problem. These people are killing each other by the hour with our military leaders telling the troops to stand down on it. He was given orders to go to Afghanistan which he viewed as a nice break from the "meat grinder" only to find out that he went from the pan into Hell. It isn't any better there neither. His family greatly appreciates being called "Nazi Appeasers" by Rummy because they do question the direction and purpose of the war. There's four (4) more Democrat votes from former Republicans! Everybody agreed with the Afghanistan theater but it would've been swell if we stayed and finished the job before being boned without a reach-around on Iraq. Bring Bin Laden's head on a platter like we were promised and I wouldn't have cared if they chose to invade the Moon. Finish the job!!!

    We did good in Afghanistan. Things are better there than they used to be. I have deployed and recovered airman from there, and every last one of them thought it was the right thing to do.
    Could it have gone better? Could there have been less mistakes and accidents? OF COURSE.

    Intervention in IRAQ was likewise a necessary thing. Have things gone smoothly, since day one? NO. Did President BUSH give a speech at the beginning of these actions, warning we would indeed suffer casualties and that victory would NOT be immediate, but would take a logn time adn be difficult? YES HE DID.
    CCT speaks from the wisdom of one who has been in the grasses, eating dirt and doing the job of the the best America has to offer in the name of freedom and democracy.

    I had a friend that died in Iraq....he had a family, had over 20 years in, and had been tehre once already. He went back, because as he said... Those people still need our help, and if not us, who? He died on a joint training and enforcment mission with IRaqi nationals. In service to others, above self. He didnt die in vain, needlessly, or any other hurtful and illinformed adjective I hear from the loud left. He died for a principle, livign up to his ideal to do what he could for others.

    Thanks, Max... you know, USAF CCT brought up a point that I'd never thought about before. What if we had only stayed pigeon-holed in Afghanistan. Saddam would have been left unchecked, running amok in Iraq, and we would have been doomed for sure. Now after thinking this position over and over, it was ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to take Saddam out! He was himself a weapon of mass destruction!

A President that is given an update of a evolving crisism, told that more details pending, and the best option for the moment seems to be to "sit tight" (my quotes only) and wait a few minutes, while security, intelligence, and military info and options are coordinated (BY PEOPLE EXPERIENCED AND RESPONSIBLE TO DO SO). Damn thing is... no matter WHAT President Bush did or didnt do during those awful minutes, you leftist knuckleheads would find fault.

    If he sat and read with the kids...he was "stunned and unable to act/react."

    If he jumped up and ran out of the school...it would have been "he panicked and ran, and scared the poor innocent children..."

    If he had spoken to the children or shown tears...you would have somehow found weakness/indecision/bad judgement.

    Heck yes he looked shocked for a moment... WHO DIDN't? I would be MORE concerned about a World Leader/President that DIDNT sit and think and consider options and implications, and gather his thoughts.

    Bush sat for 8 minutes reading My Pet Goat after being told by Andrew Card that the Nation was under attack. I read My Pet Goat and found nothing riveting in the story line that would keep me distracted from my Country being under attack and I'm not the Commander of a $400 Billion defense system. Simple things for simple minds I guess. We'll blame that on Clinton's dick too. More Right-wing slobbering over the penis.

    Oh yeah, I almost forgot....Bin Laden is still being allowed to elude capture again today. Great news from the Pentagon about the Anbar Providence today. George "bullhorn photo-op" Bush gave a politicized speech last night asking for unity. Ummmmm...Mr. President? You had a 96% approval rating after 9/11. You had unity! You had the entire World in the palm of your hand and you blew it! Clinton has still been gone for 6 years and it really is time for some new excuses. The good thing for the Right is Clinton still has his dick and if he thinks with it, he's still smarter than the current idiot. Obviously, size does matter.

    Oh....and did I mention that Bin Laden is still being allowed to elude capture by the current Administration?

    solo4357 -- that was a fact ommission. There was a drone video that showed Osama on a path that lead from Tora to Pakistan border. This came to light after the 9/11 commission report was released and the CIA has confirmed the existance of this video and submitted to appropriate committees. A video just as damning as any Clinton video as far as we had him AGAIN and we let him get away. The US committed less than 50 soldiers to support the CIA with the Tora operation. Instead, they handed the responsibility over to local tribes who hate America and think Bin Laden is a hero. That was smart. Thanks "Bullhorn Photo-op" Bush. And you all whine about Clinton? Duh! Thats the great thing about this "Path to 9/11" movie, it bashes Clinton about dropping the ball but it also reminds the American people that Bush is dropping the ball in the exact same manner.
