To Katrina Parasites Still Demanding a Free Ride: “SHUT UP!”

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: Tragedy4 Comments

Okay, I’m ready for the hate comments. Bring it on. I don’t give a damn, and after seeing a picture and story on the Internet today (see next post), you don’t have a friggin right in this world to demand your “rights” to free government money, housing, plasma TVs, etc.

Katrina Tshirt.bmp

As late as this past Valentine’s day, Neal Boortz was reporting Katrina evacuees and other parasites who continue to suckle off the teat of Uncle Sam, were complaining about being “evicted” from their paid-for-by-US-tax-dollar hotels.

I like Neal’s take on this story. From “Neal’s Nuze” of February 14, 2006:

A judge has ruled that the federal government can boot the Katrina parasites from your local Holiday Inn, Motel 6 and whatever other hotel they’re staying at on the taxpayer’s dime. The star of this show is U.S. District Judge Stanwood Duval. Duval rejected the arguments from the ambulance-chasers representing the parasites, saying the government could give them a boot.

Once the poverty pimps and the mainstream media start reporting on this, the universal question will be “what are they supposed to do now?” Well, here today are a few suggestions. How about…oh…I don’t know….GETTING A JOB. How about TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF … for a change. Surely with all of the rebuilding going on in New Orleans, a fairly decent paying job could be had. But you see, the Katrina parasites don’t want to work.

To most of the ones left occupying these hotel rooms, they’ve been living high on the hog since the hurricane hit. In fact, it may have been the best thing that ever happened to them. Talk about a lifestyle upgrade! Going from a dump in the 9th ward to a nice hotel room with cable TV! That’s some government housing.

It’s nice to know there’s at least one solid judge on the U.S. District Court bench that seems to have grown a pair.

Luckily the judge in this case said that FEMA was no longer responsible for paying these tabs (but this came after several cave-ins because of the clammering of ACLU lawyers on behalf of these parasites). Well, the judge said they couldn’t stop the evictions, but reminded everyone that they would still get some free money (don’t want to sound heartless, you know).

From an AP story in the IndyStar on February 14, 2006:

Attorneys for the evacuees tried to get U.S. District Judge Stanwood Duval to issue a temporary restraining order, saying the forthcoming money from FEMA won’t be enough for reasonable living accommodations or for hotel stays. Duval denied the request a day after the attorneys delivered the motion to his home.

“These folks are out on the streets today because the federal government, President Bush and everyone else made the decision that it’s time for these families to go,” said attorney Bill Quigley, an assistant dean of the law school at Loyola University New Orleans, who filed the motion with civil rights attorney Tracie Washington.

Washington said the decision will result in 8,000 to 10,000 families being put out of hotels across the United States.
Mary Smith, 43, headed out before noon Monday to find a bus, which she hoped would take her to one of the lower-income neighborhoods across the Mississippi River, where she was told she might find a rental.

“I only got my rent check last week,” she said. “It’s not enough time to find a place.”

About 10,500 families, or 88 percent of the 12,000 homeless families, have received rent-assistance checks from FEMA, said Libby Turner, the agency’s transitional housing director.

The cash can be used to pay for an apartment, to continue their hotel stays or to help pay for fixing their ruined homes.

Excuse me? These people are out on the streets because of President Bush and his decision it was “time for them to go”? HELL NO! These people were still in the same situation they lived in for their entire lives in New Orleans, one of the greatest welfare cities in the U.S. (enabled by none other than the Democrats who run not only the city, but the state, as well)!

Oh, and the comment “It’s not enough time to find a place” comment…. ?? How friggin long do you need to find a place, lady? It’s been how long? Even according to a Newsweek article just last month, Houston is sick and tired of footing the bill for all the evacuees still there, as well as the bill for housing the miscreant criminals that flooded into Houston afterwards!

Now, I know there are legitimate people who lost EVERYTHING they had, had nowhere to go etc. But, my God, people! How long will it take you to get your SH*# together and make it on your own? Oh, that’s right… once you learn to live off the government, it’s hard to accept any form of personal responsibility. The government was an enabler in all this, and does not escape blame.

Heartless, you call me? Maybe in your eyes, but to me, if you’ve had since last August to get your crap together, you should be somewhere by now if you WANTED to be, supporting yourself and your family; not continuing to bleed the government like the parasites some of you have become yet always have been! Your “host” has run dry, you morons, and the rest of America is paying the price.

It is called the “painful truth” for a reason.

Still think I’m vile? Check the next post before you criticize.

Losing Your Mind on National TV (VIDEO)

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: Are You Kidding Me?, Humor, Telling It Like it Is, Video8 Comments

If you’re ever on national TV and you’re on with stellar politicos like Bill Kristol and Brit Hume, NEVER show how much of a dumbass you really are. Juan Williams of National Public Radio has obviously not learned that lesson as I’ve previously pointed out.

JuanIdiot.jpg

Today on Fox News Sunday, one of the panel’s subjects was the recent firing of CIA employee, Mary McCarthy (see Expose the Left’s post) for sharing classified information with the Washington Post and others regarding stories of the U.S.’s secret prisons abroad. Like Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame, McCarthy’s political leanings clearly come into play here.

I was going to edit this video to be much shorter, but it’s just too priceless. This “smackdown” begins with the discussion of the situation with Mary McCarthy of the CIA. Here are just a few quotes from the exchange:

Juan began by arguing about citizens’ rights to speak out, whistle-blowing, blah, blah and more blah…

Bill: When I went to work in the U.S. government, I signed forms saying I would not release classified information. If I had released information like this, I could have been fired – I SHOULD have been fired! And let me tell you something…the Clinton administration would have fired her if this would have happened in the mid 90s. This was an outrageous leak of national security information.

Juan: She can take a risk, but you’re telling me that you don’t leak… that you’ve never leaked infor …???

BillKristolReady toFight.jpg

Bill: Oh, COME ON! Come on!

Juan: People leak every day in this town!

Brit: Juan, there’s an important distinction between disclosing information which the government has not chosen to put out yet, or may never; and the unauthorized disclosure of classified information. That’s not to say that all information that is classified should be. However, there are people who are authorized to declassify information and then authorize its release, and there are people who are not.
BritInShock.jpg
This woman palpably was not such a person! In addition, she signed, as Bill pointed out, a statement when she joined the Agency in which she swore that she would not do that. So she was honor-bound not to do it, the law restricts the ability to which someone can do that, and she went ahead and did it! That’s not…Juan, that is manifestly not speaking out; that is not an exercise simply of 1st Amendment rights. This is…this was a violation of her oath and her responsibility!

Juan: Let me quickly respond, Brit, she took a risk. She was very aware of what she had signed. She is now bearing the cost of having broken that pledge…

Chris: …so this is an act of consciousness????

Juan: …and so in that sense, I do believe it!

Chris: Why did she do it surreptitiously?

Juan: She did it because she wanted to get the word out!

(cross-talk)

Brit: Why didn’t she walk out on to the street corner and just pass it out?

Juan: She could have! But she had a…

Brit: I know why she didn’t… because that way she would have become known. She wanted to do it and not get caught, THAT’S why!!!!!

Now, I know that Fox is trying to uphold their “Fair and Balanced” thing, but there comes a time when they have to realize that Brit needs to start charging Juan for tuition fees for his continuing on-air education. Today, however, Brit wasn’t the only headmaster in charge… Bill Kristol took his seat in the teacher’s seat. Juan made a mistake when he accused Bill of “leaking” as part of his every day life and work!

Heck, even Chris Wallace couldn’t help but chip in to the lesson at hand.

JuansImAnIdiotLook.jpg

Juan ends his argument saying that “she” (McCarthy) is the one who will be paying the price for what she did. Excuse me? It’s called “National” Security… not “Personal” Security. Her revelation about our secret prisons probably cost lives. Now, can Juan explain that away? Doubtful. Stay tuned, as it appears Juan’s education is just beginning. He definitely flunked today’s lesson.

Watch Juan get schooled here.

(P.S. One of the funniest moments of the clip at 5:19 (5 mins, 19 secs) is when Juan opines that she was just doing this about something she might have thought was unconscionable in the organization in which she worked…. both Bill & Brit say IN UNISON … “Well she should QUIT then!” – PRICELESS!)

Enforcing Existing Laws…FINALLY!

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: Illegal Immigration6 Comments

Well, I’ve been waiting and waiting for this to happen, and NBC reports today that there is a nation-wide crackdown by I.C.E. for not only illegal immigrants, but the corporate executives who are breaking the law by knowingly hiring them!

In fact, one of these crackdowns happened locally today at a pallet plant owned by IFCO Systems which is highlighted in the article below, and in our local sting, they netted 44 illegals at once! Now, that’s a start!

From the AP story:

WASHINGTON - Immigration agents arrested seven executives and hundreds of employees of a manufacturer of crates and pallets Wednesday as part of a crackdown on employers of illegal workers.

Authorities raided offices and plants of IFCO Systems in at least eight states, the culmination of a yearlong criminal investigation, law enforcement officials said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested seven current and former IFCO Systems managers on charges they conspired to transport, harbor and encourage illegal workers to reside in the United States for commercial advantage and private financial gain, said Glenn T. Suddaby, the chief federal prosecutor in Albany, N.Y., where some arrests were made.

And it goes on further…

Raids across the U.S.

Raids took place at several locations in upstate New York and in Biglerville, Pa.; Charlotte, N.C.; Cincinnati, Houston, Phoenix, Richmond, Va., and Westborough, Mass.

“ICE has no tolerance for corporate officers who harbor illegal aliens for their work force. Today’s nationwide enforcement actions show how we will use all our investigative tools to bring these individuals to justice, no matter how large or small their company,” said ICE chief Julie Myers.

She and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff are expected on Thursday to lay out an immigration enforcement strategy that targets employers’ disregard for immigration law.

Last week, operators of three restaurants in Baltimore pleaded guilty to similar immigration charges, while nine people affiliated with two temporary employment agencies that do business in New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania were charged in a $5.3 million scheme involving the employment and harboring of illegal aliens.

Several immigration proposals pending in Congress would stiffen penalties against employers who hire illegal immigrants.

Company based in Germany

German-based IFCO Systems describes itself as the leading pallet services company in the United States, focusing on recycling millions of the wooden platforms used to stack and move all manner of goods. It operates about five dozen facilities nationwide and has been expanding steadily, according to the company’s Web site.

IFCO Systems did not immediately return calls seeking comment Wednesday.

The current and former IFCO Systems managers arrested were identified by Suddaby as: Michael Ames, 44, Shrewsbury, Mass.; Robert Belvin, 43, Clifton Park, N.Y.; Abelino Chicas, 40, Houston; Scott Dodge, 43, Albany; William Hoskins, 29, Cincinnati; James Rice, 36, Houston, and Dario Salzano, 36, Amsterdam, N.Y.

Okay, this is what I don’t get. All police officers, when they take the oath of office, they take the oath swearing to uphold all laws including local, state and FEDERAL during the commission of their duty! But I keep hearing that local law enforcement officers aren’t allowed to enforce immigrations laws because it’s federal jurisdiction? What the FFFF???? Bank robbery is a federal offense, internet child exploitation, and kidnapping (usually) are federal offenses. Do you think for one second that a cop doesn’t cuff-n-stuff that ass when they’re arrested? Hell yeah, they do! The feds may come in and do the final investigation and prosecution, but the beat cop hooks-n-books those jackasses! So how is enforcing illegal immigration laws any different?

I’m just hoping that what we’re seeing today is just a hint of things to come. If our politicians won’t listen to us, maybe our fed-up law enforcement officers will finally step up to the plate and enforce the laws they KNOW THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BY LAW!

Oh, on the lighter side… this cartoon I saw today illustrates what I’ve been thinking all along.

Impossible? No…. “Fish in a barrel” enforcement at mass protests? HELL YEAH!

The Importance of Making “United 93″ (VIDEO)

by MsUnderestimated — Categories: Islamofascists, September 11, 2001, Telling It Like it Is, Tragedy, Video5 Comments

Tonight on Hannity & Colmes, “United 93″ producer Lloyd Levin was on, along with David Beamer, father of Todd Beamer, and Gordon Felt, brother of Edward Felt – both heroes who helped save hundreds if not thousands of Americans at the cost of their own lives. And as David Beamer said, “They (the filmmakers) got it right.”

United93H&C.jpg

David Beamer and Gordon Felt both talk about how grateful the families were that Mr. Levin and the entire production crew of “United 93″ included the families of those on the flight, and said (unlike some Americans) this film NEEDS to be seen! They gave it their wholehearted blessing. Even Alan said he had seen it the night before, saying it was very “compelling.” You could tell, too, that Alan also was moved by what he saw. He said “there were some moments that you couldn’t even look at the screen.” Must be very realistic, and I for one cannot wait to go see this production.

Some day in the future, when Merriam Webster updates their dictionaries, hopefully they will put the passengers of United 93 under the word “Courage,” with the annotation to “See also: Hero.” Nothing more befitting.

Is this the wake-up call we need? Or, as one of my readers pondered: will we have to re-live it again in real life as opposed to on film before we DO wake up? In the immortal words of Todd Beamer, I say “Let’s Roll.”

On the Cover of the Rolling Stone – GWB

HUGE h/t to Drudge, who has the breaking story just now… The illiterati at Rolling Stone magazine are coming out with their next issue with the cover story pondering whether or not George W. Bush is the “Worst President in History.” It’s obvious they’ve already come to their own conclusion by the “art” depicted on the cover.

GWBOnRollingStone.jpg

And who is the brainiac Sean Wilentz who penned this article? Let’s do some digging. I found some things about him on the web here, here, here, here, and here.

What’s more insulting is the fact our President is cover material only next to what Pearl Jam’s best album is in 10 years, what Nick Lachey’s confessions are, and an article about “Castualy of War – Maimed in Iraq, Abandoned at Home.” Rolling Stone should stick to the Lachy and Pearl Jam piece. That’s what they do best.
