A Time for Change

The Federal Court and Congress have suborned the sovereignty of the States and taken the power from the people.

This claim is unarguable, as neither the Courts nor Congress choose to follow the voice of the people, and ignore the votes of the people. Examples include the present Immigration crisis, and the vote of Nebraskanâ€™s on the issue of the definition of marriage. There are hundreds more.

The Supreme Court prefers to use the governing documents of foreign countries, and some bizarre notion of â€œsocietal evolutionâ€ in reaching decisions, rather than to use the Constitution. Lower courts choose â€œrestorative justiceâ€ to treat those convicted of the most hideous crimes against our children, in lieu of a punishment that fits the crime. The elitist judiciary has chosen to become policy makers, which contradicts intent of the founders.

The founders had a reason for limiting the power of the federal government. They understood that decisions made at the federal level could only be reached through compromise, and that the results of compromise is at best, mediocrity.

For 40 years Congress ignored the overwhelming evidence of the growing threat of terrorism building in the Middle East, and the finite supply of fossil fuel. For 20 years they watched as Social Security and other entitlement programs approach bankruptcy, and any plan to confront the loss of 78.2 million â€œbaby boomerâ€ from our labor market remains a mystery. For the past 15 years Congress has failed to enforce the laws that they have written on immigration.

The only solution is to impeach justices that fail to abide by their oath before God to protect and defend the Constitution, to impeach justices that fail to accept their responsibility to protect the innocent and punish the guilty, and to demand term limits for all member of Congress. The time is now to return power to the self-governed.
